4. Notes with satisfaction the progress made by the States members of the Standing Advisory Committee in implementing the programme of activities for the period 1999-2000, in particular by:

Notwithstanding, the Regional Centre continued to provide substantive and technical assistance to the Standing Advisory Committee on disarmament matters, including for the thirty-third and thirty-fourth ministerial meetings of that Committee, which were held, respectively, in Bangui, Central African Republic, and Bujumbura, Burundi.
