وكانت اللجنة الفرعية العلمية والتقنية قد باشرت خطة عمل مدتها ثلاث سنوات بشأن الحطام الفضائي في عام ٦٩٩١ وستبدأ اللجنة الفرعية القانونية خطة عمل مدتها ثلاث سنوات بشأن استعراض معاهدات الفضاء الخارجي في عام ٨٩٩١ .

The Committee noted that the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee had requested Member States to provide information on the relevant parts of the draft technical report to the Chairman of the Subcommittee in advance, so as to facilitate the preparation of the technical report and ensure that the most recent results of international research were taken into account properly.
