That delegation was also of the view that the work of the working groups established by the Committee and its subsidiary bodies should be carried out with full interpretation services in the official languages of the United Nations.
وارتأى أيضا الوفد صاحب هذا الرأي أن أعمال الأفرقة العاملة التي تنشئها اللجنة ولجنتاها الفرعيتان ينبغي أن توفّر لها خدمات الترجمة الشفوية الكاملة باللغات الرسمية المعتمدة في الأمم المتحدة.

It urged the Bureau to ensure that the Group submitted its nominations for inclusion in the draft resolution, so that the Committee and its Subcommittees, would be able to begin their work on time at their next sessions.

The report also considered the achievements of the Committee and its Subcommittees following the introduction of their revised agenda structures in 2000 and paved the way for further strengthening their role in promoting the peaceful uses of outer space.

We believe that this subject requires our attention, and we think that the establishment of a working group would make it possible to deal with this issue properly and perhaps produce some suggestions on patterns of operation so that the Committee and its two Subcommittees might be more effective and efficient in their work.
ونعتقد أن هذا الموضوع يتطلب منا بذل الاهتمام، ونعتقد أن إنشاء فريق عامل من شأنه أن يمكن من تناول هذه المسألة على نحو مناسب وربما يسفر عن تقديم بعض المقترحات بشأن أنماط التشغيل، وذلك حتى تكون اللجنة ولجنتاها الفرعيتان أكثر فعالية وكفاءة في عملها.

The view was expressed that it would be natural for the Committee and its subcommittees, as the United Nations bodies concerned with outer space, to provide expertise on scientific, technical and legal aspects of outer space to the Conference on Disarmament and other United Nations entities.
42- وأبدي رأي مفاده أن من الطبيعي أن تقدّم اللجنة ولجنتاها الفرعيتان، بصفتها أعلى هيئات الأمم المتحدة المعنية بالفضاء الخارجي، خبرتها الفنية بشأن الجوانب العلمية والتقنية والقانونية للفضاء الخارجي إلى مؤتمر نزع السلاح وغيره من هيئات الأمم المتحدة.

12. Agrees that the Committee and its subcommittees, at the beginning of their sessions in 2004, should conduct the election of the officers agreed upon by the Committee at its forty-sixth session;
12 - توافق على أن تجري اللجنة ولجنتاها الفرعيتان، في بداية دوراتها في عام 2004، انتخابات أعضاء مكاتبها التي وافقت عليها اللجنة في دورتها السادسة والأربعين()؛

The Subcommittee noted that the recommendations of UNISPACE III were being implemented by Member States through both national programmes and bilateral cooperation, as well as international cooperation and integration facilitated by the Committee and its subcommittees at the regional or global levels, such as the work of the action teams.
64- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية أن الدول تعكف على تنفيذ توصيات اليونيسبيس الثالث من خلال برامج وطنية وكذلك من خلال التعاون الثنائي فضلا عن التعاون والتكامل الدوليين اللذين تيسرهما اللجنة ولجنتاها الفرعيتان على الصعيد الإقليمي أو العالمي، ومن ذلك مثلا عمل أفرقة العمل.

The Committee noted that the General Assembly, in its resolution 61/111, had endorsed the composition of the bureaux of the Committee and its subsidiary bodies for the period 2008-2009, and had agreed that the Committee and its subcommittees should elect their officers at their respective sessions in 2008.
286- لاحظت اللجنة أن الجمعية العامة أيّدت، في قرارها 61/111 تشكيل مكاتب اللجنة وهيئتيها الفرعيتين للفترة 2008-2009، ووافقت على أن تقوم اللجنة ولجنتاها الفرعيتان بانتخاب أعضائها في دورة كل منها في عام 2008.

27. Endorses the composition of the bureaux of the Committee and its subcommittees for the period 2014 - 2015, and reiterates that the Committee and its subcommittees, at their respective sessions in 2014, should elect their officers nominated for that period;
27 - تقر تشكيل مكاتب اللجنة ولجنتيها الفرعيتين للفترة 2014-2015، وتكرر تأكيد ضرورة أن تنتخب اللجنة ولجنتاها الفرعيتان، كل في دورتها لعام 2014، أعضاء مكاتبها المرشحين لتلك الفترة()؛

At the 675th meeting, the Chair delivered a statement highlighting the role played by the Committee and its Subcommittees as a unique global platform for enhancing efforts to strengthen the role of space tools for sustainable development to meet the challenges facing humanity.
١٨- وفي الجلسة 675، ألقى الرئيس كلمةً أبرز فيها الدور الذي تؤدِّيه اللجنة ولجنتاها الفرعيتان كمحفل فريد من نوعه على الصعيد العالمي لتعزيز الجهود الرامية إلى تدعيم دور الأدوات الفضائية في خدمة التنمية المستدامة من أجل التصدِّي للتحدِّيات التي تواجهها البشرية.

At the 660th meeting, the Chair delivered a statement highlighting the role played by the Committee and its Subcommittees in promoting efforts to further space exploration and research and in bringing the benefits of space technology to global sustainable development goals.
16- وفي الجلسة الـ660، أدلى الرئيس بكلمة سلّط فيها الضوء على الدور الذي تؤديه اللجنة ولجنتاها الفرعيتان في تعزيز الجهود الهادفة إلى النهوض بأنشطة استكشاف الفضاء والأبحاث الفضائية والاستفادة من منافع تكنولوجيا الفضاء في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة في العالم أجمع.

Some delegations expressed the view that it was important for the Committee and its Subcommittees to strengthen the setting of binding norms for space activities, in particular in view of the increasing presence of new actors in the space field, including private sector involvement.
329- ورأت بعض الوفود أنّ من المهم أن تعزِّز اللجنة ولجنتاها الفرعيتان عملية وضع معايير ملزمة بشأن الأنشطة الفضائية، وخصوصاً مع تزايد ظهور جهات فاعلة جديدة على ساحة الفضاء، بما في ذلك مشاركة القطاع الخاص.
