C. Documentation 22. At the 4th meeting, on 22 April, the FAO representative informed the Conference that FAO would provide the following documents:

The Preparatory Committee recommends to the Conference that the high-level segment should be open to participation at the Head of State or Government or Ministerial level.

26. I concur with the results of the Conference that the following issues require urgent attention:

The representative of the UNCCD secretariat made a statement and informed the Conference that credentials for Brunei Darussalam, Nigeria and Paraguay had been received and should be added to the list of formal credentials contained in the report.
وأدلى ممثل أمانة الاتفاقية ببيان وأبلغ المؤتمر بأن وثائق التفويض الخاصة ببروني دار السلام ونيجيريا وباراغواي قد استُلمت وينبغي أن تُضاف إلى قائمة وثائق التفويض الرسمية الواردة في التقرير.

I therefore recommend to the Conference that it continue consultations on the review of the agenda and appoint a special coordinator on this issue at the outset of the 2002 session.
ولذلك فإنني أوصي المؤتمر بأن يواصل المشاورات حول استعراض جدول الأعمال وإن يعين مقرراً خاصاً لهذه المسألة في مطلع دورة عام 2002.

I therefore recommend that the Conference also request FAO to provide such a paper in advance of the next session.

Following some informal consultations among concerned States, the President of the Conference recommended that those States continue informal discussions on the subject after the Conference with the involvement of the Agency.
