On 15 July, a member of the Special Representative's team attended the twentieth session of the International Coordinating Committee of national institutions for the promotion and Protection of Human Rights in Geneva, and gave a panel presentation on the current and potential role of national human rights institutions in the area of business and human rights.

21. In addition, " the World Conference on Human Rights reaffirms the important and constructive role played by national institutions for the promotion and protection of human rights, in particular in their advisory capacity to the competent authorities, their role in remedying human rights violations, in the dissemination of human rights information and education in human rights " .
