وطلب مؤتمر الوزراء الى المجتمع الدولي والمؤسسات المالية واﻹنمائية المتعددة اﻷطراف تقديم دعمها لجنوب افريقيا وتقديم أي مساعدات تطلبها حكومة جنوب افريقيا الجديدة.

40. A comprehensive approach to conflict prevention and management, post-conflict reconstruction and development needs to be devised by the international community, including the United Nations, the multilateral financial and development institutions, interested donors and African countries along the following lines:
٤٠ - ويلزم أن يسن المجتمع الدولي، بما فيه اﻷمم المتحدة والمؤسسات المالية واﻹنمائية المتعددة اﻷطراف والمانحون المهتمون والبلدان اﻷفريقية، نهجا شاملا حيال منع النزاعات وإدارتها، والتعمير في حالات ما بعد النزاعات، والتنمية، على المنوال التالي:

Stressing the importance of UNCTAD he noted that multilateral financial and development institutions should play a major role in devising additional special programmes for least developed countries in order to integrate them into the world economy.
وفي مجال التأكيد على أهمية مركز اﻷمم المتحدة للتجارة والتنمية، ذكر أن المؤسسات المالية واﻹنمائية المتعددة اﻷطراف ينبغي أن تؤدي دورا رئيسيا في وضع برامج خاصة إضافية لصالح أقل البلدان نموا من أجل إدماجها في الاقتصاد العالمي.

" 9. Urges all multilateral financial and development institutions to intensify and accelerate their investments in social sectors and poverty eradication programmes;

10. Urges multilateral financial and development institutions to intensify and accelerate their investments in social sectors and poverty eradication programmes;
٠١ - تحـث المؤسسات المالية واﻹنمائية المتعددة اﻷطراف على تكثيف استثماراتها في القطاعات الاجتماعية وبرامج القضاء على الفقر وعلى التعجيل بتلك الاستثمارات؛

2. Invites donor countries and multilateral financial and development institutions, within their mandates, to provide newly independent and developing land-locked States in Central Asia and their transit developing neighbours with appropriate financial and technical assistance for the improvement of the transit environment for these countries;
٢ - تدعـو البلدان المانحة والمؤسسات المالية واﻹنمائية المتعددة اﻷطراف إلى أن تقوم، في إطار ولايتها، بتقديم مساعدات مالية وتقنية مناسبة إلى الدول النامية غير الساحلية المستقلة حديثا في آسيا الوسطى ولجيرانها من بلدان المرور العابر النامية، لتحسين بيئة المرور العابر لتلك البلدان؛

(ii) Donor countries and multilateral financial and development institutions should provide land-locked and transit developing countries with appropriate financial and technical assistance in the form of grants or concessional loans for the construction, maintenance and improvement of their transport, storage and transit infrastructures and facilities, including alternative routes and improved communications.
' ٢` ينبغي للبلدان المانحة وللمؤسسات المالية واﻹنمائية المتعددة اﻷطراف تزويد البلدان النامية غير الساحلية وبلدان العبور النامية بمساعدة مالية وتقنية مناسبة في شكل منح أو قروض تساهلية ﻹنشاء وصيانة وتحسين هياكل وتسهيلات النقل والتخزين والمرور العابر لديها، بما في ذلك إيجاد خطوط بديلة وتحسين الاتصالات.

(b) In paragraph 2, the General Assembly invited donor countries and multilateral financial and development institutions, within their mandates, to provide newly independent and developing landlocked States in Central Asia and their transit developing neighbours with appropriate financial and technical assistance for the improvement of the transit environment for these countries.
