واعتمدت اللجنة المعنية بحقوق الإنسان شكلاً جديداً لتقرير المتابعة الخاص بها.

At the ninety-fifth session, the Committee discussed and took the following decisions to strengthen its follow-up procedure:

The Human Rights Committee actively monitors compliance through its follow-up procedure via the mechanism of the Special Rapporteur for the follow-up of views, which enables the Committee to evaluate State party compliance with its views.
وتقوم اللجنة المعنية بحقوق اﻹنسان، بصورة ناشطة، برصد الامتثال عن طريق إجراء المتابعة الخاص بها من خلال آلية المقرر الخاص لمتابعة اﻵراء، والتي تمكﱢن اللجنة من تقييم امتثال الدولة الطرف ﻵراء اللجنة.

At its ninety-fourth session, the Committee requested the Special Rapporteur for follow-up on concluding observations, Sir Nigel Rodley, to present proposals to the Committee on ways to strengthen its follow-up procedure.

The Committee also decided to assess the experience of its follow-up procedure in 2011 (A/63/38, Part two, decision 41/III). The first follow-up report submitted under this procedure was received in July 2009.

71. In the present chapter, the Committee discusses its follow-up procedure under article 19 of the Convention, and the findings and views of the rapporteur on follow-up established by the Committee.

20. The Committee sent a further invitation to meet with representatives of Liberia, which had not submitted its follow-up report despite two reminders sent by the Committee, nor replied to two letters sent at the fifty-third and fifty-fourth sessions, respectively, to schedule a meeting with representatives of the State party.

9. The Committee may engage with stakeholders with regard to the follow-up procedure by inviting national human rights institutions, United Nations country teams, United Nations entities, in particular the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women and non-governmental organizations, to provide information to the Committee in relation to its follow-up procedure.
9 - يمكن للجنة أن تشارك مع أصحاب المصلحة فيما يتعلق بإجراء المتابعة عن طريق دعوة المؤسسات الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان، والأفرقة القطرية التابعة للأمم المتحدة، وكيانات الأمم المتحدة ولا سيما هيئة الأمم المتحدة للمرأة والمنظمات غير الحكومية، لتقديم معلومات إلى اللجنة في ما يتعلق بإجراء المتابعة الخاص بها.

CCPR indicated that the Gambia has persistently failed to cooperate with the Human Rights Committee and its follow-up procedure since 2002, and this was the first time that the Human Rights Committee declared a State Party in breach of its obligations.
وأشار المركز إلى أن غامبيا تصر على عدم التعاون مع اللجنة المعنية بحقوق الإنسان وإجراء المتابعة الخاص بها منذ عام 2002، وهذه هي المرة الأولى التي تعلن فيها اللجنة المعنية بحقوق الإنسان أن دولة طرف قد أخلَّت بالتزاماتها(6).
