As underscored in paragraph 84 of the report of the Secretary-General on coordinated follow-up to major international conferences in the economic, social and related fields (E/1995/86):

15. The Secretary-General also identified a number of common themes emanating from conferences in his 1995 report on coordinated follow-up to major international conferences (E/1995/86), which are presented in box 3.

Requests the Secretary-General to continue to ensure that a coordinated follow-up to the 2009 World Summit on Food Security is undertaken at the field level in the context of the resident coordinator system, taking into account the coordinated follow-up to major international conferences of the United Nations;

Requests the Secretary-General to continue to ensure that a coordinated follow-up to the World Summit on Food Security is undertaken at the field level in the context of the resident coordinator system, taking into account the coordinated follow-up to major international conferences of the United Nations;

13. In paragraph 57 of the report of the Secretary-General on coordinated follow-up to major international conferences in the economic, social and related fields (E/1995/86), the common themes emanating from those conferences were identified as follows:
١٣ - وفي الفقرة ٥٧ من تقرير اﻷمين العام عن المتابعة المنسقة للمؤتمرات الدولية الرئيسية في الميدانين الاقتصادي والاجتماعي وما يتصل بهما من الميادين (E/1996/86) حددت المواضيع المشتركة المنبثقة عن تلك المؤتمرات على النحو التالي:

The Secretary-General also identified a number of common themes emanating from conferences in paragraph 57 of his 1995 report on coordinated follow-up to major international conferences (E/1995/86), which are listed in box 3. They continue to serve as useful categories for selecting a theme on coordinated follow-up to conferences.
١٦ - كما حدد اﻷمين العام في الفقرة ٥٧ من تقريره عن المتابعة المنسقة للمؤتمرات الدولية الرئيسية لعام ١٩٩٥ )E/1995/86( عددا من المواضيع المشتركة المنبثقة عن المؤتمرات، وهي مدرجة في اﻹطار ٣، التي ما زالت تصلح كقطاعات مفيدة لاختيار موضوع عن المتابعة المنسقة للمؤتمرات.

It was also noted that a number of issues, such as gender equality, equity and empowerment of women; poverty eradication; participation and human rights; and the problems of Africa and special categories of countries cut across all the themes.
