Additional efforts have been made to reach out to special political missions, peacekeeping missions, economic commissions and offices away from Headquarters by distributing informational material about the Office of the United Nations Ombudsman and Mediation Services. The Office has also created a brief workshop called " Strategies for diffusing conflict: a guide for United Nations leaders " .
