The phased drawdown represents, overall, a proposed planned average strength of some 152 military observers during the period and reflects the application of a 5 per cent delayed deployment factor to the costing of requirements in respect of provisions for Mission subsistence allowances, travel on emplacement, rotation and repatriation, clothing allowance, death and disability provisions and rations.

The self-sustainment (paid to the Governments of troop-contributing countries for their services) includes medical services for peacekeepers in the mission area, whereas death and disability provisions compensate for injury, illness and death attributable to service in peacekeeping missions.
وتشمل تكاليف الاكتفاء الذاتي (التي تدفع لحكومات البلدان المساهمة بقوات نظير ما تقدمه من خدمات) الخدمات الطبية المقدمة لأفراد حفظ السلام في منطقة البعثة، بينما تعوض الاعتمادات المخصصة للمطالبات المتعلقة بالوفاة والعجز عن الإصابة والمرض والوفاة بسبب الخدمة في بعثات حفظ السلام.
