MSC at its sixty-ninth session concluded that there was currently no need to include standards of competence for maritime personnel on Mobile Offshore Units in the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) 1978, or in any other relevant instrument (MSC 69/22, para. 7.39).
