26. The report on cooperatives in social development noted the need to promote enhanced involvement of women in agricultural cooperatives and membership in their decision-making bodies (A/64/132).
26 - وأشار التقرير المتعلق بدور التعاونيات في التنمية الاجتماعية، إلى ضرورة تعزيز مشاركة المرأة في التعاونيات الزراعية وحصولها على العضوية في هيئات اتخاذ القرار (A/64/132).

As indicated in paragraph 20 of the report of the Secretary-General (A/64/132), on cooperatives in social development, agricultural cooperatives help in marketing agricultural products and in improving farmers' access to markets, and an estimated 50 per cent of global agricultural output is marketed through cooperatives.
وكما ذُكر في الفقرة 20 من تقرير الأمين العام (A/64/132)، المتعلق بدور التعاونيات في التنمية الاجتماعية، فإن التعاونيات الزراعية تساعد في تسويق المنتجات الزراعية وفي تحسين وصول المزارعين إلى الأسواق، كما وأن ما يقدّر بـ 50 في المائة من الناتج الزراعي العالمي يتم تسويقه من خلال التعاونيات.
