46- ورحب المجلس النسائي الدولي بنية الأمم المتحدة لتكثيف التعاون مع المنظمات غير الحكومية، وأبدى رغبته في التعاون مع اللجنة بشأن جميع المسائل المتصلة بوضع المرأة.

44. The International Council of Women welcomed the intention of the United Nations to intensify cooperation with non-governmental organizations and expressed its interest in cooperating with the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice on all issues relevant to the status of women.

Ms. Chambalu (International Federation of Business and Professional Women), speaking also on behalf of the International Council of Women and Soroptimists International, welcomed the adoption of a gender mainstreaming strategy by UNIDO.
44- السيدة شمبالو (الاتحاد الدولي للمشتغلات بالمهن التجارية والفنية): تحدثت أيضاً باسم المجلس النسائي الدولي والرابطة الدولية لأخوات المحبة، فرحبت باعتماد اليونيدو لاستراتيجية تراعي المنظور الجنساني.

Ms. Hauer-Rona (International Council of Women), speaking also on behalf of the International Federation of Business and Professional Women and Soroptimist International, said that gender equality was one of the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and a goal that cut across all sectors and issues addressed in the MDGs.
15- السيدة هاور-رونا (المجلس النسائي الدولي): تحدثت أيضا باسم الاتحاد الدولي للمشتغلات بالمهن التجارية والفنية والرابطة الدولية لأخوات المحبة، فقالت إن المساواة بين الجنسين تمثل أحد الأهداف الإنمائية الثمانية للألفية وهدفا متداخلا في جميع القطاعات والمسائل التي تتناولها الأهداف الإنمائية للألفية.

Ms. Hauer-Rona (International Council of Women) said that her Council's principal objectives were to promote equal rights and responsibilities for both women and men, recognize and respect human rights, support efforts to achieve peace through negotiation, arbitration and conciliation and integrate women in development and decision-making bodies.
23- السيدة هاور-رونا (المجلس النسائي الدولي): قالت إنَّ الأهداف الرئيسية التي يسعى المجلس إلى تحقيقها تتمثل في تعزيز المساواة في الحقوق والمسؤوليات بالنسبة للرجل والمرأة على حدّ سواء، والاعتراف بحقوق الإنسان واحترامها ودعم الجهود الرامية إلى تحقيق السلام عبر آليات التفاوض والتحكيم والمصالحة، وعبر إدماج المرأة في هيئات التنمية وصنع القرار.
