It was regrettable that the Commission had not been able to reach agreed conclusions on the situation of rural women at its fifty-sixth session because some delegations had sought to impose their own views concerning women's status.
ومن أسف لم تستطع اللجنة التوصُّل إلى استنتاجات متفق عليها بشأن حالة المرأة الريفية لدى انعقاد دورتها السادسة والخمسين لأن بعض الوفود سعت إلى فرض آرائها الخاصة فيما يتعلّق بوضع المرأة.

42. Resolution 56/129 invited the Commission to pay due attention to the situation of rural women in the consideration of the priority themes identified in its multi-year programme of work for the period 2002-2006.
42 - دعا القرار 56/129 اللجنة إلى إيلاء العنايـة الواجبة لحالــة المرأة الريفية لدى النظـر في المواضيع ذات الأولوية التي حددها برنامج عملها المتعدد السنوات للفترة 2002-2006.

ويتضمن التقرير أيضا تقييم التدخلات التي اضطلع بها في مجال رعاية الأم والطفل؛ إلى جانب الشواغل والمشاكل القائمة والملحة التي تكتنف المرأة الريفية لدى وضع التقرير.
