B. Chemicals listed in Annex B to the Convention

Thus, Part II of Annex B to the Convention establishes a DDT register and detailed procedures to allow the continued use of DDT for disease vector control while minimizing environmental releases and supporting the transition to safer alternatives.
وعليه فإن الجزء الثاني من المرفق باء بالاتفاقية ينشئ سجلاً خاصاً بالـ دي.دي.تي والإجراءات التفصيلية للسماح بالاستمرار في استخدام الـ دي دي تي لمكافحة ناقلات الأمراض مع التقليل من التسربات البيئية ودعم الانتقال إلى بدائل أكثر أمناً.

Article 4 of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants requires its secretariat to maintain a register of countries which have registered for one or more specific exemptions listed in Annex A or Annex B to the Convention.

Executive summary At its fourth meeting the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention decided that the production and use of perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS), its salts and perfluorooctane sulfonyl fluoride (PFOSF) should be eliminated by all parties except for the use and production allowed as acceptable purposes and specific exemptions in accordance with Part III of Annex B to the Convention.
قرر مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية ستكهولم في اجتماعه الرابع أنه يتعين على جميع الأطراف وقف إنتاج واستخدام حامض السلفونيك البيرفلوروكتاني (PFOS)، وأملاحه وفلوريد السلفونيل البيرفلوروكتاني (PFOSF) باستثناء الاستخدام والإنتاج المسموح بهما بوصفهما أغراض مقبولة أو إعفاءات محددة وفقاً للجزء الثالث من المرفق باء بالاتفاقية.

The Secretariat, with advice from relevant experts such as members of the Committee, to prepare a report on the evaluation of the continued need for PFOS, its salts and PFOSF, based on the information on PFOS, its salts and PFOSF and its alternatives specified in paragraph 5 of part III of Annex B to the Convention and any other pertinent and credible information available.
