Stresses the need for regular exchanges of views between the Committee, the Special Rapporteur and other relevant United Nations mechanisms and bodies, as well as for the pursuance of cooperation with relevant United Nations programmes, notably the programme on crime prevention and criminal justice, with a view to enhancing further their effectiveness and cooperation on issues relating to torture, inter alia, by improving their coordination;
١٣ - تشدد على ضرورة التبادل المنتظم لﻵراء بين اللجنة، والمقرر الخاص واﻵليات والهيئات اﻷخرى ذات الصلة التابعة لﻷمم المتحدة، وكذلك مواصلة التعاون مع برامج اﻷمم المتحدة ذات الصلة لا سيما البرنامج المعني بمنع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية بغية زيادة تعزيز فعاليتها وتعاونها بشأن المسائل المتعلقة بالتعذيب عن طريق جملة أمور منها زيادة التنسيق بينها؛

40. In paragraph 5 of its resolution 1995/37 B the Commission on Human Rights invited the Special Rapporteur to examine questions concerning torture directed primarily against women and children and conditions conducive to such torture and to make appropriate recommendations concerning the prevention of gender specific forms of torture and the torture of children.
٤٠ - ودعت لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان في الفقرة ٥ من قرارها ١٩٩٥/٣٧ باء المقرر الخاص إلى بحث المسائل المتعلقة بالتعذيب الموجه بصوره أساسية ضد النساء واﻷطفال والظروف المفضية إلى هذا النوع من التعذيب، وتقديم توصيات ملائمة فيما يتعلق بمنع أشكال التعذيب الموجه إلى أحد الجنسين بصفة خاصة وتعذيب اﻷطفال.

53. The Special Rapporteur on torture was invited to continue examining questions concerning torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment and punishment directed against women and conditions conducive to such torture.
٥٣ - وطلب إلى المقرر الخاص المعني بالتعذيب مواصلة البحث في المسائل المتعلقة بالتعذيب وغيره من ضروب المعاملة أو العقوبة القاسية أو اللاإنسانية أو المهينة الموجهة ضد المرأة واﻷحوال المؤدية إلى وقوع مثل هذا التعذيب.

It is the first written report to be submitted to the General Assembly1 since the forty-first session of the Commission on Human Rights, at which the Commission adopted resolution 1985/33, in which it decided to appoint a special rapporteur to examine questions relevant to torture.
وهو أول تقرير مكتوب يقدم إلى الجمعية العامة)١( منذ انعقاد الدورة الحادية والخمسين للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان التي اعتمدت فيها اللجنة القرار ١٩٨٥/٣٣، وفيه قررت تعيين مقرر خاص لبحث المسائل المتعلقة بالتعذيب.

191. In connection with article 12 of the Convention, reference was made to a particular case included in the report of the Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights on questions relating to torture (E/CN.4/1992/17) and since no reply on the case had been given by the Libyan authorities, information was requested in that regard.
١٩١ - وفيما يتصل بالمادة ١٢ من الاتفاقية، فقد أشير الى قضية معينة وردت في تقرير المقرر الخاص للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان بشأن المسائل المتعلقة بالتعذيب (E/CN.4/1992/17) ولم ترد عليها السلطات الليبية ولهذا طلبت معلومات بشأنها.

At its eighth session (27 April-8 May 1992), the Committee had before it the additional information requested from Amnesty International, information submitted by other non-governmental organizations, the reports of the Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights on questions relating to torture 5/ and preliminary observations made by the Government of Egypt on the initial information submitted directly to it by Amnesty International.
١٨٣ - وكان معروضا على اللجنة في دورتها الثامنة )٧٢ نيسان/أبريل - ٨ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٢(، المعلومات اﻹضافية المطلوبة من هيئة العفو الدولية، ومعلومات قدمتها منظمات غير حكومية أخرى، وتقارير المقرر الخاص للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان بشأن المسائل المتعلقة بالتعذيب)٥(، والملاحظات الأولية التي قدمتها الحكومة المصرية بشأن المعلومات الأولية التي قدمتها إليها هيئة العفو الدولية مباشرة.

Requests by the Special Rapporteur on the question of torture and the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention to visit East Timor had met with a negative response by Indonesia, in violation of paragraph 7 of the consensus statement adopted by the Commission on Human Rights in 1995.
وقال إن إندونيسيا وجهت دفوعا بعدم الاستماع للطلبات المقدمة من المقرر الخاص المعني بالتحقيق في المسائل المتعلقة بالتعذيب ولطلبات الفريق العامل المعني بالاحتجاز التعسفي من أجل زيارة تيمور الشرقية منتهكة بذلك الفقرة ٧ من اﻹعلان المعتمد بتوافق اﻵراء في عام ٥٩٩١ من جانب لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان.
