While important progress has been made in mine action during the past years, the number of countries and areas that require and request assistance also continues to increase. The need to obtain adequate resources remains a constant challenge for the United Nations.
وبالرغم من إحراز تقدم في مجال الإجراءات المتعلقة بالألغام خلال السنوات الماضية، فإن عدد البلدان والمناطق التي تحتاج إلى المساعدة وتطلبها لا يزال يزداد كذلك، ولا تزال ضرورة الحصول على الموارد الكافية بمثابة تحد مستمر للأمم المتحدة.

When looking into technical assistance, the Conference of the States Parties will need to have information on those initiatives, in order to play a role in facilitating and brokering between those who need and request assistance and those who have the expertise and resources to provide it.
وفيما يتعلّق بالمساعدة التقنية، سوف يحتاج مؤتمر الدول الأطراف إلى معلومات بشأن تلك المبادرات لكي يقوم بدور التيسير والتوسّط بين الأطراف التي تحتاج المساعدة وتطلبها من جهة والأطراف التي لديها الخبرة والموارد من جهة أخرى.

This means helping countries that need and request help to implement their obligations.
ويعني هذا مساعدة البلدان التي تحتاج إلى المساعدة وتطلبها لتنفيذ التزاماتها.
