وقد اقترحنا بأن تحظى المسائل التالية باهتمام خاص: أن يعقد رئيس المجلس جلسات إحاطة عن عمل المجلس؛ وأن تجرى مناقشات توجيهية مفتوحة للمجلس - وقد قدم اقتراح فرنسي مثير للاهتمام بشأن هذا اﻷمر في كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٤؛ وتحسين المشاورات بين مجلس اﻷمن والبلدان المساهمة بقوات؛ وإيجاد قدر أكبر من الشفافية في عمل لجان الجزاءات.

Mr. Han Taek LIM (Republic of Korea) said that, as an advocate of the concept of lending assistance to States adversely affected by the application of sanctions under Chapter VII of the Charter, his delegation had a keen interest in strengthening consultations between the Security Council and States potentially affected by the imposition of sanctions.

The increasing number and complexity of peace-keeping operations created an increasing need for more frequent and regular consultations between the Security Council, the Secretariat and troop-contributing countries, and in that connection the delegation of the Republic of Korea welcomed the statement of the President of the Security Council dated 4 November 1994 about the arrangements for consultation proposed by New Zealand and Argentina.
٢٥ - وأضاف أن زيادة عدد وتعقيد عمليات حفظ السلم تؤدي إلى مزيد من الحاجة إلى زيادة تواتر وانتظام المشاورات بين مجلس اﻷمن واﻷمانة العامة والبلدان المساهمة بقوات، وأعرب في هذا الصدد عن ترحيب وفد جمهورية كوريا بالبيان الذي أدلى به رئيس مجلس اﻷمن والمؤرخ ٤ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ٤٩٩١ بشأن ترتيبات التشاور التي اقترحتها نيوزيلندا واﻷرجنتين.
