Treaty bodies and the Secretariat continued efforts to harmonize and standardize their work, including through the three-day ninth and tenth inter-committee Meetings of the Human Rights Treaty Bodies and the two-day twenty-first meeting of the chairpersons.

The Chairperson reported on the points of agreement reached at the tenth and eleventh inter-committee Meetings (ICMs) and on the recommendations of the twenty-second Meeting of Chairpersons of Human Rights Treaty Bodies, held in June 2010.
1- عرض الرئيس نقاط الاتفاق التي تم التوصل إليها أثناء الاجتماعين العاشر والحادي عشر المشتركين بين اللجان كما عرض توصيات الاجتماع الثاني والعشرين لرؤساء هيئات معاهدات حقوق الإنسان، الذي عُقد في حزيران/يونيه 2010.

Its Chairperson and representatives had participated in all consultative processes in that regard, in particular the sixth and seventh inter-committee meetings held, respectively, in June 2007 and June 2008.
وأشار إلى أن رئيسها وممثليه يشاركون في جميع العمليات الاستشارية بهذا الشأن، لا سيما في الاجتماعين السادس والسابع المشتركين بين اللجان اللذين عقدا في حزيران/يونيه 2007 وحزيران/يونيه 2008.

The eighth and ninth inter-committee Meetings had repeated the recommendation that all treaty bodies should have follow-up procedures, such as a special rapporteur for follow-up.
90- وكان المشاركون في الاجتماعين الثامن والتاسع المشتركين بين اللجان قد كرروا التوصية بوجوب قيام جميع هيئات المعاهدات بوضع إجراءات للمتابعة، من قبيل وجود مقرّر معني بالمتابعة.

Three members of the Committee also participated in the third and fourth inter-committee meetings (held in June 2004 and 2005).

The Secretary-General has submitted to the General Assembly at its sixty-fourth session the annual report of the chairpersons of human rights treaty bodies, which contains the report on their twenty-first meeting, as well as the eighth and ninth inter-committee meeting of human rights treaty bodies, and therefore, the latest information available.
2- وقد قدّم الأمين العام إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الرابعة والستين التقرير السنوي لرؤساء هيئات معاهدات حقوق الإنسان الذي يتضمن التقرير المتعلق باجتماعهم الحادي والعشين فضلاً عن الاجتماعين الثامن والتاسع المشتركين بين اللجان التابعة لهيئات معاهدات حقوق الإنسان، ومن ثم آخر المعلومات المتاحة.

The reports on the tenth and eleventh inter-committee meetings of the human rights treaty bodies, held in Geneva from 30 November to 2 December 2009 and 28 to 30 June 2010, respectively, that were considered by the chairs are annexed to the present report.

(a) The twenty-first meeting of chairpersons endorsed the points of agreement concluded at the eighth and ninth inter-committee meetings.

4. The Chairperson of the seventh and eighth inter-committee meetings and twentieth meeting of chairpersons, Ms. Dah (Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination), introduced the report on the implementation of the recommendations of those meetings (HRI/MC/2009/2).
4 - وقدمت السيدة دا (لجنة القضاء على التمييز العنصري)، رئيسة الاجتماعين السابع والثامن المشتركين بين اللجان والاجتماع العشرين لرؤساء اللجان، التقرير عن تنفيذ توصيات تلك الاجتماعات (HRI/MC/2009/2).

The present report contains information on the effective implementation of international human rights instruments and focuses on the meetings of persons chairing the human rights treaty bodies and the second and third inter-committee meetings on the methods of work of treaty bodies relating to reporting.
يتضمن هذا التقرير معلومات عن التنفيذ الفعال للصكوك الدولية المتعلقة بحقوق الإنسان ويركز على اجتماعات الأشخاص الذين يرأسون الهيئات المنشأة بموجب معاهدات حقوق الإنسان وعلى الاجتماعين الثاني والثالث المشتركين بين اللجان المكرسين لبحث أساليب العمل التي تتبعها الهيئات المنشأة بموجب معاهدات في مجال الإبلاغ.

(v) The seventh inter-committee meeting welcomed the report submitted by the Secretariat in pursuance of the recommendations of the fifth and sixth intercommittee meetings regarding the use of statistical information in monitoring the implementation of human rights (HRI/MC/2008/3).
(ت) رحب الاجتماع السابع المشترك بين اللجان بالتقرير الذي قدمته الأمانة العامة عملا بتوصيات الاجتماعين الخامس والسادس المشتركين بين اللجان بشأن استخدام المعلومات الإحصائية لرصد مدى إعمال حقوق الإنسان (HRI/MC/2008/3).

In view of this, the Secretary-General requests the Council to postpone to the thirteenth session the submission of the present report, so that it would include information on the results of the twenty-first meeting of chairpersons of human rights treaty bodies, the eighth and ninth inter-committee meetings and the outcome of the tenth inter-committee meeting which will be held in December 2009.
وبالنظر إلى ذلك، يطلب الأمين العام إلى المجلس أن يُرجئ إلى دورته الثالثة عشرة تقديم هذا التقرير لكي يتضمن معلومات عن نتائج الاجتماع الحادي والعشرين لرؤساء هيئات معاهدات حقوق الإنسان والاجتماعين الثامن والتاسع المشتركين بين اللجان ومحصلة الاجتماع العاشر المشترك بين اللجان الذي سيُعقد في كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2009.
