That is why, in the preamble of the draft resolution, we reaffirm our determination to put an end to the suffering and casualties caused by anti-personnel mines.
وهذا هو السبب في تأكيدنا في الديباجة عزمنا على إنهاء المعاناة والإصابات الناجمة عن الألغام المضادة للأفراد.

1. The very purpose of the Convention is to put an end to the suffering and casualties caused by anti-personnel mines.
1- إن الغرض من هذه الاتفاقية هو إنهاء المعاناة والإصابات التي تسببها الألغام المضادة للأفراد.

7. Determined to put an end to the suffering and casualties caused by anti-personnel mines, we will:
7- وانطلاقاً من عزمنا على إنهاء المعاناة والإصابات التي تسببها الألغام المضادة للأفراد، سوف نعمل على تحقيق ما يلي:

Determined to put an end for all time to the suffering and casualties caused by cluster munitions at the time of their use, when they fail to function as intended or when they are abandoned,
وتصميما منها على أن توقف إلى الأبد المعاناة والإصابات التي تتسبب فيها الذخائر العنقودية وقت استعمالها، أو عند إخفاقها عن العمل على النحو المقصود، أو عند هجرها،

1. The very purpose of the Convention is to put an end to the suffering and casualties caused by antipersonnel mines.
1- إن الغرض من هذه الاتفاقية هو إنهاء المعاناة والإصابات التي تسببها الألغام المضادة للأفراد.

This Convention was born out of the determination to put an end to the suffering and casualties by anti-personnel mines, that kill or maim innocent and defenseless people, obstruct economic development and reconstruction, inhibit the repatriation of refugees and internally displaced persons and have other severe consequences many years after emplacement.
وقد نشأت هذه الاتفاقية من التصميم على إنهاء المعاناة والإصابات الناتجة عن الألغام المضادة للأفراد، التي تقتل أو تشوه أشخاصاً أبرياء وعزلاً، وتعوق التنمية الاقتصادية والتعمير وتحول دون عودة اللاجئين والمشردين داخلياً إلى أوطانهم، وتتسبب في عواقب أخرى وخيمة بعد زرعها بسنوات عديدة.

5. The States Parties to the Convention on Cluster Munitions agree on the following concrete actions to fulfil their ultimate aim of putting an end for all time to the suffering and casualties caused by cluster munitions:
5- وتتفق الدول الأطراف في اتفاقية الذخائر العنقودية على الإجراءات الملموسة التالية لتحقيق هدفها النهائي المتمثل في أن تُوقف إلى الأبد المعاناة والإصابات التي تسببها الذخائر العنقودية:

5. The States Parties to the Convention on Cluster Munitions agree on the following actions in order to fulfil their ultimate aim of ending for all time to the suffering and casualties caused by cluster munitions:
5- وتتفق الدول الأطراف في اتفاقية الذخائر العنقودية على الإجراءات التالية لتحقيق هدفها النهائي المتمثل في أن تُوقف إلى الأبد المعاناة والإصابات التي تسببها الذخائر العنقودية:

Reaffirming its determination to put an end to the suffering and casualties caused by anti-personnel mines, which kill or injure thousands of people -- women, girls, boys and men -- every year, and which place people living in affected areas at risk and hinder the development of their communities,
وإذ تعيد تأكيد تصميمها على إنهاء المعاناة والإصابات الناتجة عن الألغام المضادة للأفراد التي تقتل أو تصيب كل سنة آلاف الأشخاص من نساء وفتيات وفتيان ورجال، والتي تعرض سكان المناطق المتضررة للخطر وتعيق تنمية مجتمعاتهم المحلية،

Both proud of our accomplishments and mindful of what work remains, we have returned to this once mine-ravaged country, committed to complete the task of ending the suffering and casualties caused by anti-personnel mines, for all people for all time.
وإذ نفتخر بما حققناه من إنجازات ونضع ما تبقى لنا من أعمال صوب أعيننا، نعود إلى هذا البلد الذي دمرته الألغام ذات يوم، ونحن ملتزمون باستكمال مهمة إنهاء المعاناة والإصابات التي تسببها الألغام المضادة للأفراد، لصالح جميع الناس وإلى الأبد.
