I have the honour to transmit herewith the text of the Hague Agenda for Peace and Justice for the Twenty-first Century which emerged from the Hague Appeal for Peace Conference, held at The Hague from 12 to 15 May 1999 (see annex).

2. Notes with satisfaction that the First Conference of States Parties held at The Hague in the Kingdom of the Netherlands from 6 to 23 May 1997 successfully launched the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons with Ambassador Jose M. Bustani of Brazil as the first Director-General;
٢ - تلاحظ مع الارتياح أن المؤتمر اﻷول للدول اﻷطراف المعقود في لاهاي بمملكة هولندا في الفترة من ٦ إلى ٢٣ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٧ قد نجح في إنشاء المنظمة المعنية بحظر اﻷسلحة الكيميائية وتعيين السفير جوزيه م. بستاني من البرازيل أول مدير عام لها؛

The second World Water Forum, held in The Hague in March this year, agreed on realistic targets for achieving major improvements in the availability of safe drinking water and basic sanitation by 2015.
لقد اتفق المحفل العالمي الثاني للمياه، المعقود في لاهاي في آذار/مارس من هذه السنة، على أهداف واقعية لتحقيق تحسينات رئيسية في توفير مياه الشرب المأمونة والصحة الأساسية بحلول عام 2015.

25. The Department was represented at the Hague Appeal for Peace Conference, held in The Hague from 11 to 16 May 1999.
25 - وكانت الإدارة ممثلة في مؤتمر نداء لاهاي من أجل السلام، المعقود في لاهاي في الفترة من 11 إلى 16 أيار/ مايو 1999.

A representative of Côte d'Ivoire met with the ISU on the margins of an OPCW meeting in The Hague on 2 November 2007, and said that the ratification process had been initiated.
وقد اجتمع ممثل عن كوت ديفوار بوحدة دعم التنفيذ على هامش اجتماع منظمة حظر الأسلحة الكيميائية المعقود في لاهاي في 2 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2007، وقال إن عملية التصديق قد استُهِلّت.

62. As a result of the Global Child Labour Conference, held at The Hague in 2010, an agreed Road Map for Achieving the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour by 2016 will be used to track progress through 2016.
62 - ونتيجة للمؤتمر العالمي لعمالة الأطفال المعقود في لاهاي في عام 2010، سيستعان بخريطة طريق متفق عليها لتحقيق القضاء على أسوأ أشكال عمل الأطفال بحلول عام 2016 لمتابعة التقدم المحرز حتى عام 2016.

55. The closing of the United Nations Decade of International Law in 1999 would coincide not only with the centennial of the first International Peace Conference, held at The Hague, but also with the fiftieth anniversary of the Geneva Conventions of 1949.
٥٥ - وأشار إلى أن اختتام عقد اﻷمم المتحدة للقانون الدولي في ١٩٩٩ سيتزامن لا مع الذكرى المئوية للمؤتمر الدولي اﻷول للسلام المعقود في لاهاي فحسب، بل حتى مــع الذكرى السنوية الخمسين لاتفاقيات جنيف لعام ١٩٤٩.

Switzerland also participated at a high level in the IAEA Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Security, held in July 2013, and in the 2014 Nuclear Security Summit held in The Hague.
وشاركت سويسرا أيضا في مؤتمر وزاري رفيع المستوى معني بالأمن النووي عقدته الوكالة في حزيران/يونيه 2013، وفي مؤتمر قمة الأمن النووي لعام 2014، المعقود في لاهاي.

This approach was presented during an international conference on female genital mutilation held in The Hague in November 2009.

The matter of meeting reporting deadlines was discussed at length at a donor meeting held in The Hague in May 1998 at which time all concerned recognized the need for the timely reporting of resource flow data in order to meet UNFPA publication deadlines, while at the same time noting the difficulties in meeting those deadlines.

Mr. van den Hout (Permanent Court of Arbitration): It is only appropriate that at the conclusion of the United Nations Decade of International Law we reflect on the centennial of the first International Peace Conference, held in The Hague.
السيد فان دن هوت )محكمة التحكيم الدائمة( )تكلم بالانكليزية(: إنه لمن المناسب فحسب لدى اختتام عقد اﻷمم المتحدة للقانون الدولي أن نتأمل في الذكرى المئوية للمؤتمر الدولي اﻷول للسلام المعقود في لاهاي.

It participated in all the major international meetings in that connection, such as the review conferences of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, including that of 1995 and that of 2000 chaired by Algeria, the Chemical Weapons Convention Review Conference held in The Hague in 2002 and the conferences to promote the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty held regularly pursuant to article XIV of that Treaty.
فقد كانت طرفا فاعلا في جميع اللقاءات الدولية المهمة في هذا الإطار، من قبيل مؤتمرات استعراض معاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية، ولا سيما مؤتمري استعراض هذه المعاهدة لعام 1995 ولعام 2000 الذي ترأسته الجزائر، ومؤتمر استعراض اتفاقية حظر الأسلحة الكيميائية المعقود في لاهاي في سنة 2002، ومؤتمرات تعزيز معاهدة الحظر الشامل للتجارب النووية التي تُعقد بصورة منتظمة وفقا للمادة الرابعة عشرة من هذه المعاهدة.

The Second Global Meeting, held in The Hague from 5 to 8 July 1999, through its recommendations, produced the blueprint for UNEP programmatic support to the revitalization of the regional seas programmes.
وقدم الاجتماع العالمي الثاني، المعقود في لاهاي في الفترة من 5 إلى 8 تموز/يوليه 1999، من خلال توصياته، خطة عمل للدعم البرنامجي المقدم من برنامج البيئة لإعادة انعاش برامج البحار الإقليمية .

In a statement to the press following the consultations, members of the Council reiterated the importance of close consultations between the parties and the Boundary Commission and UNMEE on the implementation of the border delimitation decision, and welcomed in this regard the recent meeting in The Hague.
وأكد أعضاء المجلس من جديد في بيان تلي على الصحافة بعد إجراء مشاورات أهمية إجراء المشاورات عن كثب بين الطرفين وبين لجنة الحدود وبعثة الأمم المتحدة في إثيوبيا وإريتريا بشأن تنفيذ قرار ترسيم الحدود ورحبوا في هذا الصدد بالاجتماع الأخير المعقود في لاهاي.

The sixth meeting in The Hague had endorsed the target of achieving by 2010 a significant reduction in the rate of biodiversity loss at global, regional and national levels as a contribution to poverty alleviation and to the benefit of all life on Earth.
كما أيد الاجتماع السادس المعقود في لاهاي الهدف الذي يتمثل في أن يتم بحلول عام 2010 تحقيق تخفيض كبير في معدل فقدان التنوع البيولوجي على الأصعدة العالمية والإقليمية والوطنية كمساهمة في تخفيف حدة الفقر ولفائدة جميع مظاهر الحياة على وجه الأرض.

5. Notes with appreciation the outcome of the First Special Session of the Conference of the States Parties to Review the Operation of the Chemical Weapons Convention, convened in The Hague from 28 April to 9 May 2003, and the Political Declaration, in which the States parties reaffirm their commitment to achieving the objective and purpose of the Convention;
