One of the major functions of the Office of the Special Adviser on Gender Issues and Advancement of Women is to increase awareness of and support for initiatives to achieve both gender balance and a gender-sensitive work environment.

٨٢ - ستواصل المستشارة الخاصة المعنية بقضايا نوع الجنس والنهوض بالمرأة مناقشة خطط العمل الخاصة بالمرأة مع اﻹدارات والمكاتب.

In her presentation to the Committee, the Special Adviser on Gender Issues and Advancement of Women observed that the integration of women’s interests and experiences in conflict prevention, peacekeeping and post-conflict reconstruction was essential to the peace-building process.
وأشارت المستشارة الخاصة المعنية بقضايا نوع الجنس والنهوض بالمرأة، في عرضها أمام اللجنة، إلى أهمية إدماج مصالح وخبرات المرأة في منع النزاعات وحفظ السلام وإعادة البناء بعد انتهاء الصراع، بالنسبة لعملية بناء السلام.
