The Secretary-General has the honour to transmit to the members of the General Assembly the report of the independent expert for the United Nations study on violence against children, Paulo Sérgio Pinheiro, submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 61/146.

In the report of the independent expert for the United Nations study on violence against children (A/61/299), attention was drawn to the unacceptable levels of violence affecting children in all areas of life, in particular in schools, in their families and within institutions, including criminal justice institutions.
وُجِّه الانتباه في تقرير الخبير المستقل المعني بإجراء دراسة الأمم المتحدة بشأن العنف ضد الأطفال (A/61/299) إلى ما يتعرض له الأطفال من مستويات عنف غير مقبولة في جميع مجالات الحياة، وخصوصا في المدارس وفي أسرهم وداخل المؤسسات، بما فيها مؤسسات العدالة الجنائية.

(a) Take all necessary measures for the implementation of the recommendations contained in the report of the independent expert for the United Nations study on violence against children while taking into account the outcome and recommendations of the regional consultation for Europe and Central Asia, held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from 5 to 7 July 2005.
(أ) اتخاذ جميع التدابير اللازمة لتنفيذ التوصيات الواردة في تقرير الخبير المستقل المعني بإجراء دراسة الأمم المتحدة بشأن العنف ضد الأطفال، مع مراعاة نتائج وتوصيات المشاورة الإقليمية لأوروبا وآسيا الوسطى، المعقودة في ليوبليانا، سلوفينيا، في الفترة من 5 إلى 7 تموز/يوليه 2005.

Take all necessary measures for the implementation of the recommendations contained in the report of the independent expert for the United Nations study on violence against children while taking into account the outcome and recommendations of the regional consultation for Latin America held in Buenos Aires between 30 May and 1 June 2005.
(أ) اتخاذ جميع التدابير اللازمة لتنفيذ التوصيات الواردة في تقرير الخبير المستقل المعني بإجراء دراسة الأمم المتحدة بشأن العنف ضد الأطفال، مع مراعاة نتائج وتوصيات المشاورة الإقليمية لأمريكا اللاتينية، المعقودة في بوينس آيرس، في الفترة من 30 أيّار/مايو إلى 1 حزيران/يونيه 2005.

وإذ يلاحظ أيضا مذكرة الأمين العام التوجيهية بشأن نهج الأمم المتحدة إزاء توفير العدالة للأطفال الصادرة في أيلول/سبتمبر 2008، وتقرير الخبير المستقل المعني بإجراء دراسة الأمم المتحدة بشأن العنف ضد الأطفال،() ولا سيما التوصيات الواردة فيه والمتعلقة بالأطفال في نظم الرعاية والقضاء،

321. In addition, the Committee would like to draw the States party's attention to the report of the independent expert for the United Nations study on violence against children (A/61/299) and to encourage the State party to take all appropriate measures to implement the overarching recommendations and situation specific recommendations contained in this report.
321- وبالإضافة إلى ذلك، تود اللجنة أن توجّه نظر الدولة الطرف إلى تقرير الخبير المستقل المعني بإجراء دراسة الأمم المتحدة بشأن العنف ضد الأطفال (A/61/299) وتشجع الدولة الطرف على اتخاذ جميع التدابير المناسبة لتنفيذ التوصيات العامة والمحددة الواردة في ذلك التقرير.

In this context the Committee would also like to draw States parties' attention to the report of the independent expert for the United Nations study on violence against children (A/61/299) which refers to children with disabilities as a group of children especially vulnerable to violence.
44- وفي هذا السياق، تودّ اللجنة أيضاً أن تلفت انتباه الدول إلى تقرير الخبير المستقل المعني بإجراء دراسة الأمم المتحدة بشأن العنف ضد الأطفال A/61/299)) الذي يشير إلى الأطفال المعوقين بصفتهم فئة من الأطفال تتعرض بشدّة للعنف.

44. In this context the Committee would also like to draw States parties' attention to the report of the independent expert for the United Nations study on violence against children which refers to children with disabilities as a group of children especially vulnerable to violence.
