On 31 October, the Security Council held an informal interactive dialogue with the Contact Group of the Executive Council of the African Union on the International Criminal Court to discuss a request contained in the identical letters dated 21 October 2013 from the Permanent Representative of Kenya to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council (S/2013/624).
