She supported the decision of the Special Rapporteur on Shared Natural Resources to conduct studies on the practice of States with respect to uses and management, including pollution prevention, as well as domestic and international rules, in order to extract some legal norms from existing regimes and to prepare draft articles.

377. At its 3069th meeting, on 27 July 2010, the Commission took note of the oral report of the Chairman of the Working Group on Shared Natural Resources and endorsed the recommendation of the Working Group (see sect. B.2 below).

21. The Working Group decided to entrust Mr. Shinya Murase with the responsibility of preparing a study, with the assistance of the Secretariat, to be submitted to the Working Group on Shared Natural Resources that may be established at the next session of the Commission.
