As regards cooperation with the Stockholm and Rotterdam conventions, future efforts should take into account the recommendations of the Ad hoc Joint Working Group on Enhancing Cooperation and Coordination among the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions (see documents UNEP/CHW.9/14 and UNEP/CHW.9/INF/21).

The aim of these documents is to develop further the conclusions and recommendations set out in the abovementioned report by the Secretariat on the operation of the Basel Convention regional and coordinating centres and to address the recommendations of the ad hoc joint working group on Enhancing Cooperation and Coordination among the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions, as adopted in decision IX/10.
