1. The Commission on Human Rights, in paragraph 16 of its resolution 1995/79, requested the working group on a draft optional protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflicts to meet for a period of two weeks prior to the fifty-second session of the Commission to pursue its mandate.
١- طلبت لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان، في الفقرة ٦١ من قرارها ٥٩٩١/٩٧، إلى الفريق العامل المعني بوضع مشروع بروتوكول اختياري ملحق باتفاقية حقوق الطفل ومتعلق باشتراك اﻷطفال في المنازعـات المسلحة أن يجتمع لمدة أسبوعين قبل انعقاد الدورة الثانية والخمسين للجنة حقوق اﻹنسـان بغيـة مواصلة أداء ولايته.

Reiterating its previous commitment to protect children's rights during and following situations of armed conflicts, the Committee participated in the third session of the working group on a draft optional protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on involvement of children in armed conflicts.
٤٨٢- وأعادت اللجنة تأكيد التزامها السابق بحماية حقوق اﻷطفال أثناء وبعد حالات النزاع المسلح، فاشتركت في الدورة الثالثة للفريق العامل المعني بوضع مشروع بروتوكول اختياري ملحق باتفاقية حقوق الطفل بشأن إشراك اﻷطفال في النزاعات المسلحة.

874. At the 57th meeting, on 7 March 1995, the Chairman-Rapporteur of the working group on a draft optional protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflicts, Mr. Nils Eliasson, introduced the report of the working group (E/CN.4/1995/96).

The European Union also supports the efforts of the working group on a draft optional protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography and we hope that it will make further progress, prior to the fifty-third session of the Commission on Human Rights, with a view to finalizing its work.
ويؤيد الاتحاد اﻷوروبي أيضا الجهود التي يبذلها الفريق العامل المعني بوضع مشروع بروتوكول اختياري ملحق باتفاقية حقوق الطفل، بشأن بيع اﻷطفال، وبغاء اﻷطفال واستغلال اﻷطفال في المطبوعات الخليعة، ونأمل في أن يحرز مزيدا من التقدم قبل انعقاد الدورة الثالثة والخمسين للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان بغرض وضع اللمسات اﻷخيرة على أعماله.

Following its consideration of the report of the working group on a draft optional protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on involvement of children in armed conflicts on its fourth session (E/CN.4/1998/102), the Commission on Human Rights adopted, on 22 April 1998, resolution 1998/76 entitled “Rights of the child”.

Encourages the working group on a draft optional protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography to continue its work in elaborating a draft optional protocol, and calls upon the Working Group to outline a framework for international cooperation to bring to an end all practices relating to the sexual exploitation of children, including child
٤١- تشجع الفريق العامل المعني بوضع مشروع بروتوكول اختياري ملحق باتفاقية حقوق الطفل متعلق ببيع اﻷطفال وبغاء اﻷطفال والمواد اﻹباحية المتعلقة باﻷطفال، على مواصلة أعماله المتعلقة بصياغة مشروع بروتوكول اختياري، وتطلب إلى الفريق العامل أن يضع إطاراً عاماً للتعاون الدولي على إنهاء جميع الممارسات المتعلقة باستغلال اﻷطفال ﻷغراض الجنس، بما في ذلك السياحة لغرض ممارسة الجنس مع اﻷطفال؛
