During the first three years of her mandate, the Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights submitted reports on her country visits to Ecuador, Zambia, Bangladesh, Viet Nam and Ireland.

22. In its resolution 17/13, the Human Rights Council requested the Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights to submit an annual report on the implementation of resolution 17/13 to the Council.

50. In 2012, the Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights observed that according to the latest available information, extreme poverty and malnutrition continued to affect a large percentage of Zambian children.

26. The Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights has emphasized the importance of participation in all her reports, including the conceptual framework outlined at the start of her mandate (then the independent expert on extreme poverty and human rights, A/63/274).

CEDAW urged the ratification of ICRMW and ICERD. The Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights reiterated her recommendation that Bangladesh ratify OP-ICESCR.

16. The Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty noted that no progress has been made on the appointment of an Ombudsman in accordance with the Constitution.

In 2012, the Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights stated that her recommendation that Zambia withdraw its reservations to the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees, and align existing refugee legislation with international human rights standards, had not been followed.

1. Takes note with appreciation of the report of the Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights on the guiding principles on extreme poverty and human rights, and welcomes the work of the Special Rapporteur;

The Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights conducted an official visit to Mozambique from 8 to 16 April 2013. In the present report, she outlines the challenges facing Mozambique in implementing measures to tackle poverty and ensuring the human rights of those living in poverty in the country.

Similarly, the Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights noted that transparency must be a fundamental element of all aspects of social protection programmes, including selection methods, eligibility criteria, benefits level, and complaints and redress mechanisms.
كما أشارت المقررة الخاصة المعنية بمسألة الفقر المدقع وحقوق الإنسان إلى وجوب جعل الشفافية عنصراً أساسياً في جميع جوانب برامج الحماية الاجتماعية، بما في ذلك أساليب الانتقاء ومعايير الأهلية ومستوى الاستحقاقات وآليات التظلم والجبر(21).
