This proposal for the establishment of such a centre was first put forward by His Royal Highness King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz when the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia convened the International Counter-Terrorism Conference in Riyadh in 2005.
وقد طَرَح اقتراحَ إنشاء هذا المركز لأول مرة صاحبُ السمو الملكي الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز عندما عقدت المملكة العربية السعودية المؤتمر الدولي لمكافحة الإرهاب في الرياض في عام 2005.

They acknowledge the Appeal of Makkah issued by the International Islamic Conference for Dialogue, called by Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, and organized by the Muslim World League earlier in 2008.
وإذ يعبّر المشاركون عن شكرهم لنداء مكة المكرمة الصادر عن المؤتمر الإسلامي العالمي للحوار الذي دعا إليه خادم الحرمين الشريفين، الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز ونظمته رابطة العالم الإسلامي عام 2008م.

Second - Establish the " King Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz International Center for Civilizational Interaction " with a view to disseminating the culture of dialogue, training people and developing their skills according to specific academic foundations.
2 - إنشاء " مركز الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز الدولي للتواصل بين الحضارات " ؛ بهدف إشاعة ثقافة الحوار، وتدريب وتنمية مهاراته وفق أسس علمية دقيقة.

It also supported the proposal of the Servant of the two Holy Places, King Abdullah bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, concerning the establishment of an international counter-terrorism centre under United Nations auspices.
وهي أيضا تدعم مقترح خادم الحرمين الشريفين، الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز آل سعود ملك المملكة العربية السعودية، بإنشاء مركز دولي لمكافحة الإرهاب برعاية الأمم المتحدة.

We are gathered here today at this high-level meeting of the General Assembly on dialogue among religions and civilizations in response to the strong initiative taken by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
إننا نلتقي هنا اليوم في هذا الاجتماع الرفيع المستوى بشأن الحوار بين الأديان والحضارات تجاوبا مع المبادرة القوية التي أخذ زمامها خادم الحرمين الشريفين، الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز آل سعود، ملك المملكة العربية السعودية.

12. Welcome also the initiative of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz to convene the Madrid World Conference on Dialogue for interfaith and intercultural dialogue, as well as the holding of the high-level session of the United Nations General Assembly to support the initiative;
12 - نرحب أيضا بمبادرة الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز لعقد مؤتمر مدريد العالمي للحوار بين الأديان وبين الثقافات، وبعقد الدورة الرفيعة المستوى للجمعية العامة تأييدا لهذه المبادرة؛

Proceeding from the call by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, which launched the process of Arab reconciliation at the Economic, Social and Development Summit in Kuwait, and from the importance of greater efforts to clear the atmosphere and build bridges to overcome differences concerning joint Arab action, in which all Arab States are involved,
وانطلاقاً من دعوة خادم الحرمين الشريفين، الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز آل سعود التي أطلقت عملية المصالحة العربية في القمة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والتنموية بالكويت، وأهمية بذل المزيد من الجهود لتنقية الأجواء وبناء الجسور بما يسمح بتجاوز الخلافات بعمل جماعي تشارك فيه جميع الدول العربية.

On 7 October, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud undertook His first visit to the Syrian Arab Republic since His accession to the throne for a summit with the Syrian President.
وفي 7 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر، قام الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز آل سعود بزيارته الأولى إلى الجمهورية العربية السورية منذ توليه العرش لعقد مؤتمر قمة مع الرئيس السوري.

It should be recalled that the Assembly benefited from high-level participation at that meeting, including the presence of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, who presented the outcome of the World Conference on Dialogue held in Madrid in July 2008.
وجدير بالذكر أن الجمعية استفادت من المشاركة الرفيعة المستوى في جلستها المذكورة، وكان من بين المشاركين الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز آل سعود، عاهل المملكة العربية السعودية، الذي عرض نتائج المؤتمر العالمي للحوار المعقود في مدريد في تموز/يوليه 2008.

Educational opportunities outside the Kingdom have also been expanded through the scholarship programme sponsored by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz. This programme, which has been implemented during the last four years, is the largest that the Kingdom has witnessed since foreign scholarship programmes were first introduced in the 1960s.

Royal approval has been granted for the implementation of the King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Project for the Development of General Education, to which an amount of 9 billion riyals has been allocated for the purpose of:

24. While recalling the Ten Year Programme of Action and the decisions of the 3rd Extraordinary Islamic Summit Conference including the establishment of a Fund to fight poverty, we express heartfelt thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz for the generous donation of 1 billion United States dollars to support the Fund.
24 - وإذ نشير إلى برنامج عمل السنوات العشر وقرارات مؤتمر القمة الإسلامي غير العادي الثالث التي تضمنت إنشاء صندوق لمكافحة الفقر، نعرب عن شكرنا العميق لخادم الحرمين الشريفين، الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز للمنحة السخية وقدرها مليار دولار لدعم الصندوق.

24. 24 - إذ نستذكر برنامج العمل العشري والقرارات الصادرة عن الدورة الاستثنائية الثالثة للقمة الإسلامية، ومن بينها إنشاء صندوق لمكافحة الفقر، فإننا نعبر عن شكرنا العميق لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز على مكرمته السخية لدعم الصندوق والبالغة مليار دولار أمريكي.

It also welcomed the Quartet Summit held in Tripoli in February 2007 dedicated to finding a negotiated and peaceful solution to the dispute in Darfur. The Conference commended the initiative of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, to put an end to the conflict between Sudan and Chad.
ورحب كذلك بالقمة الرباعية التي عُقدت في طرابلس في شباط/فبراير 2007، والتي خصصت لإيجاد حل سلمي قائم على التفاوض للصراع في دارفور، كما أشاد بمبادرة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز لإنهاء النزاع بين السودان وتشاد.

Third - Create the " King Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz Award for Civilizational Dialogue " to be granted to international personalities and organizations that contribute effectively in promoting dialogue in a manner that helps achieve its desired objectives.
3 - إنشاء " جائزة الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز العالمية للحوار الحضاري " ، ومنحها للشخصيات والهيئات العالمية التي تسهم في تطوير الحوار وتحقيق أهدافه.

At the conclusion of the conference, the participants expressed their profound gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz Al-Saud for His patronage of this grand conference and hope that he supports its resolutions and recommendations.
وفي ختام المؤتمر أعرب المشاركون فيه عن عظيم تقديرهم للجهود التي يبذلها خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز آل سعود في موضوع الحوار، ورعايته لهذا المؤتمر الكبير، متطلعين إلى دعمه لقراراته وتوصياته.

52. His delegation welcomed the establishment and functioning of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Centre and reiterated its expression of appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abd al-Aziz of Saudi Arabia, who had launched the initiative in cooperation with the United Nations.
