" بواعث ألفا المنخفضة السمية " هي: اليورانيوم الطبيعي، اليورانيوم المستنفد، الثوريوم الطبيعي، اليورانيوم -٥٣٢، أو اليورانيوم -٨٣٢؛ الثوريوم -٢٣٢؛ الثوريوم -٨٢٢؛ والثوريوم -٠٣٢ عندما يكون في خامات أو مركزات فيزيائية أو كيميائية؛ أو بواعث ألفا ذات عمر نصفي أقل من ٠١ أيام.
