Her delegation was deeply concerned by the increase in the number of incidents relating to the international trafficking of women, and had co-sponsored United Nations resolution 50/167 on traffic in women and girls. It urged the relevant intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations to be more active in addressing that issue.

It also requested the Secretary-General to summarize the views received from States, agencies and programmes of the United Nations system and other relevant intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations concerning the proposals for the theme, format, agenda items, workshop topics and possible venue of the Tenth Congress, for consideration by the Commission at its sixth session.
كما طلبت الى اﻷمين العام أن يلخص وجهات النظر التي يتلقاها من الدول ومن وكالات وبرامج منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة ومن سائر المنظمات الحكومية الدولية وغير الحكومية ذات الصلة بشأن المقترحات الخاصة بموضوع المؤتمر العاشر وصيغته وبنود جدول أعماله ومواضيع حلقات عمله والمكان الذي يمكن عقده فيه، كي تنظر فيها اللجنة في دورتها السادسة.

The Group of Experts also recommended that, after consideration and approval by the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice and other United Nations policy-making bodies, the revised draft basic principles (annex I) be given the widest possible dissemination among Member States, as well as relevant intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations.
