37 - ومضى يقول إن الوضع الحالي في جنوب المحيط الأطلسي ازداد سوءا بسبب قرار المملكة المتحدة المتخذ من جانب واحد للتنقيب عن النفط، وذلك بهدف احتمال استغلال الموارد الطبيعية غير المتجددة في الجرف القاري الأرجنتيني في المياه المحيطة بجزر مالفيناس.

It was essential for the parties to refrain from taking decisions that would imply introducing unilateral modifications in the situation, such as the United Kingdom's military activities in the islands and its exploration for non-renewable natural resources on the Argentine continental shelf.
واختتم حديثه قائلاً إنه من الضروري أن تمتنع الأطراف عن اتخاذ إجراءات تنطوي على إجراء تعديلات من طرف واحد على الوضع مثل الأنشطة العسكرية التي تقوم بها المملكة المتحدة في الجزر وقيامها باستكشاف الموارد الطبيعية غير المتجددة الموجودة في الجرف القاري للأرجنتين.

Consequently, the activities being undertaken by the United Kingdom involving exploration for non-renewable natural resources on the Argentine continental shelf were unacceptable and clearly contravened resolution 31/49.
وبناء عليه، فإن الأنشطة التي تقوم بها الجاري القيام بها من جانب المملكة المتحدة وتشمل التنقيب عن الموارد الطبيعية غير المتجددة في الجرف القاري للأرجنتين غير مقبولة وتتعارض بوضوح مع القرار 31/49.

46. In the Foreign Minister's view, the situation in the South Atlantic had been worsened by the United Kingdom's unilateral decision to prospect for oil with a view to eventually exploiting the non-renewable natural resources of the Argentine continental shelf in the waters around the Islands.

69. In that connection, the parties should resume negotiations in order to find a solution and should avoid any unilateral actions that would hinder such negotiations, such as the United Kingdom's exploitation of the non-renewable natural resources on the Argentine continental shelf.
69 - وأضاف قائلا إنه، في هذا الصدد، ينبغي للطرفين أن يستأنفا المفاوضات لإيجاد حل، وينبغي أن يتجنبا أي إجراءات أحادية الجانب من شأنها أن تعوق هذه المفاوضات، مثل قيام المملكة المتحدة باستغلال الموارد الطبيعية غير المتجددة على الجرف القاري الأرجنتيني.

33. With regard to the prospecting for non-renewable natural resources being conducted in the disputed area by the United Kingdom, his delegation called on the United Kingdom Government, in accordance with General Assembly resolution 31/49, to refrain from any unilateral moves that would prevent the territorial dispute from being resolved.

24.
