197. Article 25, paragraph 3, of the Constitution stipulates that: " All Citizens are equal before the law in regard to their rights and obligations " .
197- ونصت الفقرة 3 من المادة 25 من الدستور بما يلي: " المواطنون متساوون أمام القانون في الحقوق والواجبات " .

This is confirmed in article 25, paragraph 2, of the Syrian Constitution, which stipulates that: " All Citizens are equal before the law in regard to their rights and obligations " .
وهذا ما أكدته المادة ٥٢/٢ من الدستور السوري التي نصت: " المواطنون متساوون أمام القانون في الحقوق والواجبات " .

Article 25 of the Constitution stipulates that " Freedom is a sacred right and the State has an obligation to safeguard the personal liberty, dignity and security of its citizens " , " All Citizens are equal before the law in regard to their rights and obligations " and " The State shall safeguard the principle of equality of opportunity for its citizens " .
91- لقد جاء في المادة 25 من الدستور الفقرة 1 " الحرية حق مقدس وتكفل الدولة للمواطنين حريتهم الشخصية وتحافظ على كرامتهم وأمنهم " ، " المواطنون متساوون أمام القانون في الحقوق والواجبات " و تكفل الدولة مبدأ تكافؤ الفرص بين المواطنين.

This is guaranteed in the Syrian Constitution, article 25, paragraph 2, of which stipulates that: " All Citizens are equal before the law in regard to their rights and obligations " .
وقد كفل الدستور السوري هذا الحق حيث اعتبرت المادة 25 الفقرة 2 منه " المواطنون متساوون أمام القانون في الحقوق والواجبات " .

71. Article 13 of the draft Constitution further stipulates that: “Citizens are equal before the law, without any distinction between them on grounds of sex, origin, language, religion, belief or opinion”.
١٧- المادة ٣١ من مشروع الدستور تنص: " المواطنون متساوون أمام القانون، لا تمييز بينهم في ذلك بسبب الجنس أو اﻷصل أو اللغة أو الدين أو العقيدة أو الرأي " .

These social values are reflected in the Republic's Constitution, article 25 of which stipulates that Citizens are equal before the law in regard to their rights and obligations and every citizen has the right to participate in political, economic, social and cultural life, this right being regulated by law.
41- وقد عكس دستور الجمهورية قيم المجتمع السوري ودعم المفاهيم المنصوص عليها في العهد حيث جاء في المادة 25 منه " المواطنون متساوون أمام القانون في الحقوق والواجبات " و " لكل مواطن حق الإسهام في الحياة السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية وينظم القانون ذلك " .

Article 8: " Citizens are equal before the law and enjoy the same fundamental freedoms under the protection of the law without discrimination on the basis of sex,... "

Article 34 provides: " Citizens have equal rights and obligations " . Article 35 affirms the right to equality before the law and to protection from discrimination. It provides: " All persons are equal before the law. There shall be no discrimination between them on grounds of sex, origin, language or religion " .
حيث نصت المادة 34 على " المواطنون متساوون في الحقوق والواجبات " ، بينما كفلت المادة 35 الحق في المساواة أمام القانون وعدم التمييز حيث نصت هذه المادة على " الناس متساوون أمام القانون، لا تمييز بينهم في ذلك بسبب الجنس أو الأصل أو اللغة أو الدين " .

These political rights should be read in the light of article 34 of the Constitution, which provides: " Citizens have equal rights and duties " .
ويجب قراءة هذه الحقوق السياسية التي كفلها الدستور في ضوء المادة 34 من الدستور والتي تنص على أن " المواطنون متساوون في الحقوق والواجبات " .
