In January 2006 the South Asia and South-East Asia-Pacific UNEP regional networks began implementation of an agreed voluntary system of prior informed consent on Import and Export of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs).

10. In all developing countries and countries in economic transition, training should have been made available by 1997 in the implementation of the London Guidelines and the PIC procedure.
١٠ - ينبغي في جميع البلدان النامية والبلدان التي تمر اقتصاداتها بمرحلة انتقالية توفير التدريب، بحلول عام ١٩٩٧، على تنفيذ " مبادئ لندن النوجيهية " وإجراءات الموافقة المستنيرة المسبقة.

Until control legislation is in place in a sufficient number of countries, as a basis for further legal international instruments to halt illegal traffic in toxic and dangerous products, all efforts should be made to improve the situation, including strengthening of the PIC procedure.
إلى أن تصدر تشريعات رقابية في عدد كاف من البلدان، ينبغي كأساس للمزيد من الصكوك الدولية القانونيــة لوقــف الاتجــار غير المشروع بالمنتجات السمية والخطرة، بذل كافة الجهود لتحسين الحالة، بما في ذلك تعزيز إجراءات الموافقة المستنيرة المسبقة.
