The objective of the document is to provide guidance for the environmentally sound management of used and end-of-life mobile phones with an emphasis on reuse and recycling, thereby diverting such end-of life products from final disposal operations such as landfills or incinerators.
2 - والهدف من الوثيقة هو تقديم توجيه للإدارة السليمة بيئياً للهواتف النقالة المستعملة والمنتهية الصلاحية مع التركيز على إعادة الاستخدام وإعادة التدوير وبالتالي تحويل هذه المنتجات المنتهية الصلاحية عن عمليات التخلص النهائي مثل مدافن أو محارق النفايات.

Project group 2.1 put forward a number of recommendations dealing with transboundary movement of used and end-of-life mobile phones, as follows:

The purpose of this guidance document is to provide information on how to manage used and end-of-life mobile phones from the time they are collected up to and including their refurbishment, material recovery and recycling.
1 - الغرض من وثيقة التوجيه تلك هو تقديم معلومات عن كيفية إدارة الهواتف النقالة المستعملة والمنتهية الصلاحية من وقت جمعها حتى إعادة تجديدها أو استعادة المواد منها أو إعادة تدويرها بما في ذلك هذه العمليات.

To this end, this document provides general guidance pertaining to the environmentally sound management of used and end-of-life mobile phones that includes such considerations as awareness-raising on design considerations, collection, processing, refurbishment, material recovery and recycling.
3 - ولذلك فإن هذه الوثيقة تقدم توجيهاً عاماً بخصوص الإدارة السليمة بيئياً للهواتف النقالة المستعملة والمنتهية الصلاحية التي تتضمن اعتبارات مثل زيادة الوعي بشأن اعتبارات التصميم والجمع وإعادة التجديد واستخلاص المواد وإعادة التدوير.

The guidance document, together with individual project guidelines, is intended to be used to raise awareness and further the implementation of the best practice activities associated with the various stages of the environmentally sound management of used and end-of-life mobile phones.
4 - ويتمثل الهدف من وثيقة التوجيه، والمبادئ التوجيهية لفرادى المشروعات، في استخدامها في إزكاء الوعي والاستمرار في تنفيذ أنشطة أفضل الممارسات المرتبطة بالمراحل المختلفة للإدارة السليمة بيئياً للهواتف النقالة المستعملة والمنتهية الصلاحية.

In applying life-cycle thinking in product design, manufacturers have identified a number of opportunities for improvements that should help refurbishment, material recovery and recycling of used and end-of-life mobile phones:

The annex to the present note contains the revised guidance document on the environmentally sound management of used and end-of-life mobile phones as adopted by the Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal at its tenth meeting (see decision BC-10/21).
