(a) To maintain the current methodology to calculate the danger pay rate, that is, 25 per cent of the net midpoint of the local General Service salary scale of the subject country.

FICSA supported the proposal from the Human Resources Network to increase the rate of danger pay from 25 to 30 per cent of the midpoint of the salary scale for locally recruited staff, as this would be consistent with the action taken on the same entitlement for internationally recruited staff and the substantial change in the nature of danger pay from hazard pay.
