122. The most important results of the preparatory meeting of the Conference on Iraqi National Accord were as follows:

10. To affirm the importance of continued cooperation and coordination with the United Nations in various areas, including preparation for the forthcoming Conference on Iraqi National Accord;
10- التأكيد على أهمية مواصلة التعاون والتنسيق مع الأمم المتحدة في مختلف المجالات بما في ذلك الإعداد لمؤتمر الوفاق الوطني العراقي القادم.

:: Preparation and follow-up committee: agreement was reached on mandating the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq to cooperate with the League of Arab States to undertake the tasks of the Preparation and Follow-up Committee for the Conference on Iraqi National Accord;
- بالنسبة للجنة الإعداد والمتابعة: تم الاتفاق على تكليف وزارة الخارجية العراقية بالتعاون مع الجامعة العربية للقيام بمهام لجنة الإعداد والمتابعة لمؤتمر الوفاق الوطني العراقي.

:: To hold the Conference on Iraqi National Accord during the last week of February or first week of March 2006, in Baghdad;

14. During the period under review, the League of Arab States continued preparations for the planned conference on Iraqi National Accord and is now planning to convene it in Baghdad on 21 June 2006.
14 - وأثناء الفترة المشمولة بالاستعراض، واصلت جامعة الدول العربية التحضير لمؤتمر الوفاق الوطني العراقي المزمع عقده، وهي الآن تخطط للدعوة إلى المؤتمر في بغداد في 21 حزيران/يونيه 2006.

To welcome the decision of the Secretary-General to maintain the mission of the League of Arab States in Iraq in order to continue its work and maintain contact with the Iraqi Government and people, to expedite the appointment of a new ambassador to head the mission, and to affirm the importance of continuing the efforts of the Arab League to achieve Iraqi National Accord;
الترحيب بقرار الأمين العام مواصلة عمل بعثة جامعة الدول العربية في العراق من أجل استمرار العمل والتواصل مع الحكومة والشعب العراقي، والإسراع في تعيين سفير جديد لرئاستها، والتأكيد على أهمية مواصلة الجهود التي تقـوم بها الجامعة العربية من أجل تحقيق الوفاق الوطني العراقي.
