My delegation is pleased to recall that during the thirty-eighth General Conference of the IAEA a resolution on the RADWASS programme was adopted, having been promoted by the Korean delegation and fully endorsed by the Group of 77.

وكما اقترح الوفد الكوري في الاجتماع، ربما ننظر في تشكيل فريق رفيع المستوى مؤلف من شخصيات بارزة مع تركيز خاص على عمل مؤتمر نزع السلاح برعاية الأمين العام.

To give the Committee a proper idea of the violence of the 1996 student demonstrations, the Korean delegation had circulated a brochure by the National Security Agency with photographs of students confronting riot police, throwing stones and brandishing hoses, and of masked individuals setting fire to police officers and barricades.
وكيما يمكن لأعضاء اللجنة تكوين فكرة صحيحة عن عنف هذه المظاهرات الطلابية في عام 1996، وزّع الوفد الكوري كتيب من إعداد وكالة الأمن الوطني مع صور يظهر فيها الطلبة الذين يواجهون شرطة مكافحة الاضطرابات بقذف الحجارة والتلويح بالقضبان، وإلقاء النار على رجال الشرطة وإشعال النار في المتاريس ووجوههم مقنّعة.

Finally, the Korean delegation believes that Africa's wealth of human and natural resources endow it with enormous potential, and that it is the urgent duty of the international community to help the people of Africa translate that potential into reality as soon as they possibly can.
وأخــيرا، فإن الوفد الكوري يعتقد بأن ثروة أفريقيا من الموارد البشرية والطبيعية تهبها إمكانات هائلة، وأن من واجبــات المجتــمع الـدولي الملحة أن يساعد شعوب أفريقيا بأســرع ما يستطيع على ترجمة هذه اﻹمـكانات إلى حقيقة واقعة.
