٦٢- الرئيسة دعت الوفد اللبناني إلى الرد على اﻷسئلة من ٥١ إلى ٩١ من قائمة المسائل المتعلقة بالحريات والحقوق المدنية.

The Lebanese delegation proposes that the eighth preambular paragraph become paragraph 1 of article 3 and that the existing text of article 3 become paragraph 2.
يقترح الوفد اللبناني أن يصبح نص الفقرة الثامنة من الديباجة نصا للفقرة ١ من المادة ٣ وأن يصبح النص الحالي للمادة ٣ نص الفقرة ٢.

Since the Government of Lebanon communicated to the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic the names of its representatives on the committee, the Lebanese delegation has held a number of preparatory meetings, but a meeting of the full committee with Syrian counterparts has not yet been held.
ومنذ أبلغت حكومة لبنان حكومة الجمهورية العربية السورية بأسماء ممثليها في اللجنة، عقد الوفد اللبناني عددا من الاجتماعات التحضيرية، لكن لم يعقد بعد اجتماع للجنة بكامل أعضائها مع نظرائهم السوريين.

While the Lebanese delegation had followed that procedure by explaining the origins of the reservations and the prospects for change in the future, it had indicated no time frame for change and had not specified the negative effects of the reservations.

٣٥ - وتساءل ما هو المبدأ الذي يمكن أن يكون ممثل قوات الاحتلال اﻹسرائيلي قد احتج به عندما طلب إلى الوفد اللبناني عدم اﻹشارة إلى احتلال إسرائيل لجنوب لبنان.

9. Mrs. EUFEMIO recalled that the Lebanese delegation had spoken at the previous meeting about disputes concerning child custody and had stated that the views of the child were not taken into account.

46. The CHAIRPERSON invited the delegation of Lebanon to answer the latter two questions and then to turn to questions 20-23 of the list of issues.

2. The delegation of Lebanon supports the merging of articles 44 and 45 of the draft Convention in view of the connection between liability for acts of corruption and compensation for them.
