8. The CHAIRMAN invited the Jordanian delegation to respond to the questions in section I of the list of issues, which read:
٨- ودعا الرئيس الوفد اﻷردني إلى الاجابة على اﻷسئلة الواردة في القسم أولاً من قائمة القضايا ونصها كما يلي:

1. At the invitation of the Chairman, the Jordanian delegation took places at the Committee table.
١- بناء على دعوة الرئيس جلس الوفد اﻷردني إلى مائدة اللجنة.

42. the Jordanian delegation had indicated that the special courts had been abolished and that the military courts would also be abolished.
٢٤- وقال إن الوفد اﻷردني بين أن المحاكم العرفية ألغيت وأنه سيتم إلغاء المحاكم العسكرية أيضاً.

49. The CHAIRMAN announced that the Jordanian delegation would reply to the questions raised by members of the Committee at its next meeting.

11. Mr. EL SHAFEI thanked the Jordanian delegation for its presentation of the report and its written and oral replies to questions.

15. He warmly thanked the Jordanian delegation for its cooperation with the Committee.

19. Mr. FRANCIS expressed satisfaction with the constructive and fruitful dialogue established between the Jordanian delegation and the Committee.
٩١- السيد فرانسيس: أعرب عن ارتياحه للحوار البناء والمثمر الذي جرى بين الوفد اﻷردني واللجنة.

He was sure that the Jordanian delegation would transmit the Committee's concerns to the Government and include replies to its questions in the next report.
وأعلن الرئيس أنه يعتقد أن الوفد اﻷردني سيبلغ الحكومة بانشغالات اللجنة وسيوافي اللجنة برد على تساؤلاتها في تقرير اﻷردن القادم.

22. The CHAIRMAN invited the Jordanian delegation to respond to the questions in section II of the list of issues, namely:
٢٢- الرئيس دعا الوفد اﻷردني إلى الرد على اﻷسئلة المطروحة في الجزء ثانيا من قائمة المسائل التي ستتناولها اللجنة، ونصه كاﻵتي:

22. Mr. PRADO VALLEJO said he was of the opinion that the very fruitful dialogue with the delegation of Jordan had helped the Committee better to understand the difficulties that country was experiencing in the implementation of the provisions of the Covenant, as well as the progress that had been made in that regard.
٢٢- السيد برادو فاييخو: قال إنه يرى أن الحوار المثمر جدا الذي جرى مع الوفد اﻷردني ساعد اللجنة على مزيد فهم الصعوبات التي يشهدها هذا البلد في تطبيق أحكام العهد، وكذلك التقدم الذي أُنجز في هذا المجال.

Mr. Nabih Al-Zenat (Jordan) (spoke in Arabic): the delegation of Jordan highly appreciates the efforts by the Ad Hoc Committee of the Whole of the Twenty-first Special Session of the General Assembly, efforts aimed at achieving formulations that reflect common principles among the States and that respect the convictions and characteristics of States.
