(a) Staff members whose salary rates are set forth in paragraphs 1 and 3 of annex I to the present Regulations shall be entitled to receive dependency allowances for a dependent child, for a disabled child and for a secondary dependant at rates approved by the General Assembly as follows:
(أ) يحق للموظفين المبينة مرتباتهم في الفقرتين 1 و 3 من المرفق الأول لهذا النظام الأساسي أن يحصلوا على بدلات إعالة عن الولد المعال وعن الولد المعوق وعن المعال من الدرجة الثانية حسب المعدلات التي أقرتها الجمعية العامة، على النحو التالي:

If the disabled child is eligible for the regular education grant, the claim shall be made in the first instance against the regular education grant, and reimbursement under the special education grant will be made only in respect of educational expenses incurred for the necessary special teaching or training.
وإذا كان الولد المعوق مستحقاً لمنحة التعليم العادية، تقدم المطالبة أولاً خصماً على منحة التعليم العادية، ولا يكون الاسترداد في إطار منحة التعليم الخاصة إلا عن النفقات التعليمية المتكبدة في التدريس أو التدريب الخاصين اللازمين.

" Educational expenses " reimbursable under the special education grant shall consist of the expenses incurred to provide an educational programme designed to meet the needs of the disabled child in order that he or she may attain the highest possible level of functional ability.
وتتألف " النفقات التعليمية " القابلة الاسترداد في إطار منحة التعليم الخاصة من النفقات المتكبدة لتوفير برنامج تعليمي معد على نحو يفي باحتياجات الولد المعوق بقصد تمكينه من بلوغ أقصى مستوى ممكن من القدرة العملية.

If the disabled child is eligible for the regular education grant, the total amount payable under the two types of grant shall not exceed $13,000 a year ($16,900 if educational expenses are incurred in the United States of America) unless educational expenses are incurred in designated currencies other than the United States dollar, in which case the maximum amounts shall be those established for each of the designated currencies.
وإذا كان الولد المعوق مستحقا لمنحة التعليم العادية، فينبغي ألا يتجاوز مجموع المبلغ المستحق في إطار هذين النوعين من المنح ٠٠٠ ١٣ دولار في السنة )٩٠٠ ١٦ دولار إذا كانت المصروفات التعليمية قد دفعت في الولايات المتحدة اﻷمريكية( ما لم تكن المصروفات التعليمية قد دفعت بعملات أخرى معينة غير دولار الولايات المتحدة، حيث تكون المبالغ القصوى هي تلك المقررة لكل من العملات المذكورة.
