In that context, the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Assembly at its forty-ninth session a report containing recommendations for consideration by the Assembly on the format, scope and organizational aspects of such a special session.

At its thirty-third session, the Committee requested the Secretary-General to include in his report on evaluation to the Assembly at its forty-ninth session proposals on the phases of the evaluation process, the use of evaluation as an instrument to improve management and programme planning and the development of achievement indicators.

The Assembly requested the Secretary-General to remain in contact with Governments as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations and the Independent Bureau for Humanitarian Issues and to report on the progress made by them to the Assembly at its forty-ninth session.

17. ١٧ - تقرر أن تواصل دراسة مسألة اﻷقاليم الصغيرة وأن توصي الجمعية العامة بأنسب الخطوات التي يتوجب اتخاذها لتمكين سكان تلك اﻷقاليم من ممارسة حقهم في تقرير المصير والاستقلال، وأن تقدم تقريرا في هذا الشأن الى الجمعية العامة في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين.

12. The Working Group further decided to recommend that the Committee should invite United Nations organs, agencies and institutions to apprise the Secretary-General of actions they have taken in the implementation of General Assembly resolution 46/181 of 19 December 1991 relating to the Plan of Action and submit a report to the Assembly at its forty-ninth session.

17. Requests the Special Committee to continue the examination of the question of the small Territories and to recommend to the General Assembly the most suitable steps to be taken to enable the populations of those Territories to exercise their right to self-determination and independence, and to report thereon to the Assembly at its forty-ninth session.
١٧ - تطلب الى اللجنة الخاصة أن تواصل دراسة مسألة اﻷقاليم الصغيرة وأن توصي الجمعية العامة بأنسب الخطوات التي يجب اتخاذها لتمكين سكان تلك اﻷقاليم من ممارسة حقهم في تقرير المصير والاستقلال، وأن تقدم تقريرا في هذا الشأن الى الجمعية العامة في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين.

3. Subsequently, in its resolution 48/222 B of 23 December 1993, the General Assembly encouraged all bodies currently entitled to written meeting records to review the need for such records, particularly verbatim records, and to communicate their recommendations to the Assembly at its forty-ninth session.
٣ - وشجعت الجمعية العامة بعد ذلك في قرارها ٤٨/٢٢٢ باء المؤرخ ٢٣ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٣ جميع الهيئات التي يحق لها حاليا تحرير محاضر لجلساتها أن تعيد النظر في حاجتها الى هذه المحاضر، وبخاصة المحاضر الحرفية، وأن تبلغ توصياتها الى الجمعية العامة في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين.

In paragraphs 5 and 6 of the resolution, the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to maintain continuous contact with the Secretary-General of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) with regard to the problem, to make available his good offices in the search for a peaceful negotiated solution, and to report on the matter to the Assembly at its forty-ninth session.
وفي الفقرتين ٥ و٦ من هذا القرار، طلبت الجمعية العامة الى اﻷمين العام لﻷمم المتحدة أن يظل على اتصال مستمر باﻷمين العام لمنظمة الوحدة اﻷفريقية بشأن هذه المشكلة وأن يبذل مساعيه الحميدة بغية ايجاد حل سلمي لهذه المشكلة عن طريق التفاوض وأن يقدم تقريرا عن هذا الموضوع الى الجمعية العامة في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين.

9. As indicated in paragraph 1 above, the General Assembly, by its resolution 48/252, invited the Secretary-General to undertake a study of the pension scheme for the members of the Court and to report thereon to the Assembly at its forty-ninth session.
٩ - وحسبما أشارت الفقرة ١ أعلاه، دعت الجمعية العامة في قرارها ٤٨/٢٥٢ اﻷمين العام الى اجراء دراسة لخطة المعاشات التقاعدية ﻷعضاء محكمة العدل الدولية، وتقديم تقرير عنها الى الجمعية العامة في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين.

4. Also requests the Secretary-General to report to the Assembly at its forty-ninth session on replies received, in order to enable it at that session to recommend to the Assembly at its fiftieth session a precise timetable and agenda for the special commemorative meeting and a suggested timetable for the conduct of the general debate of the fiftieth session.
٤ - تطلب أيضا الى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم تقريرا الى الجمعية العامة في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين بشأن الردود الواردة، وذلك لتمكينها، في تلك الدورة، من أن توصي الجمعية في دورتها الخمسين ببرنامج زمني دقيق وجدول أعمال للاجتماع التذكاري الخاص وببرنامج زمني مقترح لاجراء المناقشة العامة في الدورة الخمسين.

In its resolution 48/108, the General Assembly requested that a preliminary version of the 1994 World Survey on the Role of Women in Development, which will be presented to the Assembly at its forty-ninth session, be submitted to the Economic and Social Council at its substantive session of 1994, through the Commission on the Status of Women.
طلبت الجمعية العامة، في قرارها ٤٨/١٠٨، أن يقدم الى المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، عن طريق لجنة مركز المرأة " نص أولي " للدراسة الاستقصائية العالمية لعام ١٩٩٤ بشأن دور المرأة في التنمية، التي ستقدم الى الجمعية العامة في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين.

The Unit, inter alia, was requested to study and to report to the Assembly at its forty-ninth session on means by which the Unit could enhance its inspection and evaluation of specific fields of activities (para. 13).

وطلبت الجمعية الى اﻷمين العام أن يعد، بالتشاور مع الدول والوكالات المتخصصة والمنظمات الحكومية الدولية والمنظمات غير الحكومية المعنية، مشروعا لبرنامج اﻷعمال التحضيرية للسنة الدولية والاحتفال بها، ينص على اﻷهداف والمبادئ والتوصيات الرئيسية للسنة، وأن يقدم تقريرا مرحليا عن ذلك الى الجمعية العامة في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين.

In the same resolution, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to report to it at its forty-ninth session on the progress of work of the Preparatory Committee.
وفي القرار نفسه، طلبت الجمعية العامة الى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم تقريرا الى الجمعية العامة في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين عن التقدم المحرز في أعمال اللجنة التحضيرية.

The Secretary-General was also requested to report to the General Assembly at its forty-ninth session on the implementation of the resolution.
