The Board reviewed the operation of the Emergency Fund since the last report to the Standing Committee in June/July 1997, and concluded that the guidelines set out in the general procedure issued by the Secretary for dealing with requests for assistance from the Emergency Fund remained appropriate.
٣٧٥ - واستعرض المجلس عمل صندوق الطوارئ منذ تقديم التقرير اﻷخير الى اللجنة الدائمة في حزيران/يونيه - تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٧، وانتهى الى أن المبادئ التوجيهية الواردة في اﻹجراءات العامة التي أصدرها اﻷمين للنظر في طلبات الحصول على المساعدة من صندوق الطوارئ لا تزال مناسبة.

(ii) This report has been prepared by the secretariat to present a brief view to the Standing Committee of the challenges in multimodal transport, containerization and technological developments in order to provide the Committee with additional information for its deliberations.
`٢` أعدت اﻷمانة هذا التقرير كي تقدم فيه الى اللجنة الدائمة نظرة موجزة على التحديات التي تنطوي عليها التطورات في النقل المتعدد الوسائط، والنقل بالحاويات، والتكنولوجيا بغية تزويد اللجنة بمعلومات اضافية ﻷغراض مداولاتها.

Following the adoption of the work programme of the Standing Committee on Commodities, a Second (April 1993) and Third (May 1994) Ad Hoc Review Meeting were held, and their reports were submitted to the Standing Committee on Commodities.
وبعد اعتماد برنامج عمل اللجنة الدائمة للسلع اﻷساسية، عقد اجتماع استعراضي مخصص ثانٍ )نيسان/أبريل ٣٩٩١( واجتماع ثالث )أيار/مايو ٤٩٩١( وأحيل تقريرا الاجتماعين الى اللجنة الدائمة للسلع اﻷساسية.

The Board requested the Secretary to report to the Standing Committee on cases where he had to proceed with contracting or procurement actions in the circumstances described in (a) to (c) above.
وطلب المجلس من اﻷمين تقديم تقرير الى اللجنة الدائمة عن الحالات التي تعين عليه فيها المضي في اجراءات التعاقد أو الشراء في الظروف المبينة في الفقرات )أ( و )ب( و )ج( أعلاه.
