The Secretary-General, in his report to the Security Council of 27 October 1993 (S/26644 and Add.1 and Add.1/Corr.1), stated that political talks under the chairmanship of his Special Representative had recently started in Lusaka.
وقد أفاد اﻷمين العام، في تقريره الى مجلس اﻷمن المؤرخ ٢٧ تشرين اﻷول/اكتوبر ١٩٩٣ )S/26644 و Add.1 و Add.1/Corr.1(، بأن المحادثات السياسية قد بدأت مؤخرا في لوساكا برئاسة ممثله الخاص.

In his report to the Security Council of 12 July 1994, 3/ the Secretary-General detailed the framework within which UNOMIG would operate.

In my report to the Security Council of 6 February 1995 (S/1995/107), I recommended in paragraphs 35 and 50 that the authorized strength of the civilian police component of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda (UNAMIR) be raised from 90 to 120 observers.
١ - في تقريري الى مجلس اﻷمن المؤرخ ٦ شباط/فبراير ١٩٩٥، أوصيت في الفقرتين ٣٥ و ٥٠ بزيادة قوام القوة المأذون به لعنصر الشرطة المدنية من ٩٠ مراقبا الى ١٢٠ مراقبا.

In his report to the Security Council of 10 March 1994 (S/1994/283), the Secretary-General proposed three options to the Council for its consideration with a view to ensuring that the referendum in Western Sahara took place without further delays.

17. The Secretary-General in his report to the Security Council of 9 September 1993, 4/ outlined the concept of operations for the Observer Mission as follows:
١٧ - عرض اﻷمين العام في تقريره الى مجلس اﻷمن المؤرخ ٩ أيلول/سبتمبر ١٩٩٣)٤(، الخطوط العريضة لمفهوم العمليات لبعثة المراقبين كما يلي:

Furthermore, the correlation between activities outlined in the report of the Secretary-General to the Security Council of 17 January 1995 2/ and the resource requirements listed in the report under consideration should have been clearly spelt out.

2. As indicated in paragraph 5 of the report of the Secretary-General of 6 June 1995 (A/49/540/Add.3), the Secretary-General had recommended in paragraph 29 of his report to the Security Council of 18 April 1995 (S/1995/320) that the contingent strength in Croatia be reduced to 8,750 troops.

1. In his report to the Security Council of 4 October 1999 (S/1999/1024), the Secretary-General presented a framework and concept of operations for the United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor (UNTAET).
١ - قدم اﻷمين العام، في تقريره الى مجلس اﻷمن المؤرخ ٤ تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر ١٩٩٩ )S/1999/1024(، إطارا ومفهوما لعمليات إدارة اﻷمم المتحدة الانتقالية في تيمور الشرقية.

In this connection, you will recall that, in my report to the Security Council of 18 November 1994 (S/1994/1308), I had suggested several alternatives, including the possible establishment of a peacekeeping operation.
وتذكرون في هذا الصدد أني أشرت في تقريري الى مجلس اﻷمن المؤرخ ١٨ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ١٩٩٤ (S/1994/1308) إلى عدة احتمالات من بينها احتمال تنفيذ عملية لحفظ السلام.

The humanitarian aspects of the Geneva Agreement were described in paragraphs 15 to 20 of the report of the Secretary-General to the Security Council of 11 December 1991. 8/ At that time there were some 500,000 displayed persons, shortages of basic household items and fuel, and rising unemployment.
٥٢ - وقد ورد وصف للجوانب الانسانية لاتفاق جنيف في الفقرات ١٥ الى ٢٠ من تقرير اﻷمين العام الى مجلس اﻷمن المؤرخ ١١ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩١)٨( وفي الوقت ذاته يوجد زهاء ٠٠٠ ٠٠٥ مشرد، ونقص في الحاجيات المنزلية اﻷساسية والوفود وازدياد في البطالة.

4. The deployment of the Force remains, at the time of writing, as described in paragraphs 3 and 4 of my report to the Security Council of 30 March 1993 (S/25492).
٤ - ولا يزال وزع القوة، عند كتابة هذا التقرير، على النحو المبين في الفقرتين ٣ و ٤ من تقريري المقدم الى مجلس اﻷمن المؤرخ ٣٠ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٣ (S/25492).

Regrettably, those efforts were not successful and, in my report to the Security Council of 25 January 1993 (S/25149), I recommended that the Council should take whatever measures were required to ensure that its unanimous decision was respected.
ومن أسف، فإن هذه الجهود لم تكن ناجحة. وفي تقريري الى مجلس اﻷمن المؤرخ ٢٥ كانون الثاني/ يناير ١٩٩٣ (S/25149) أوصيت بأن يتخذ المجلس ما يراه من تدابير مطلوبة لضمان احترام قراره الاجماعي.

5. As indicated in paragraphs 9 and 10 of the addendum, the Secretary-General, in his report to the Security Council of 18 March 1994 (S/1994/312), recommended that the mandate of UNOMIG be extended further to 30 June 1994 at its current strength of 21 military observers.
٥ - وكما ورد في الفقرتين ٩ و ١٠ من الاضافة، فإن اﻷمين العام، في تقريره الى مجلس اﻷمن المؤرخ ١٨ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٤ (S/1994/312)، أوصى بتمديد ولاية البعثة لفترة أخرى تنتهي في ٣٠ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٤ بتكوينها الحالي من ٢١ مراقبا عسكريا.

30. In my report to the Security Council of 26 August 1994 (S/1994/1000) I stated that since his inauguration on 1 June 1994 President Calderón had taken steps to ensure compliance with the outstanding provisions of the Peace Accords.
٣٠ - وفي تقريري الى مجلس اﻷمن المؤرخ ٢٦ آب/اغسطس ١٩٩٤ )S/1994/1000(، ذكرت أنه منذ بدء ولاية الرئيس كالديرونس في ١ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٤، اتخذ خطوات لضمان امتثال اﻷحكام المعلﱠقة في اتفاقات السلم.

In my report to the Security Council of 18 March 1994 (S/1994/312), I recommended in paragraph 12 that UNOMIG be extended for a further three months, to 30 June 1993.
١ - في تقريري الى مجلس اﻷمن المؤرخ ١٨ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٤ (S/1994/312) أوصيت في الفقرة ١٢ منه بتمديد بعثة مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في جورجيا لمدة ثلاثة أشهر أخرى حتى ٣٠ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٤.

12. As stated in paragraph 9 of document A/48/690, in his report to the Security Council of 25 March 1993 (S/25470), the Secretary-General had recommended that as at 1 April 1993 all activities of UNPROFOR be incorporated into the United Nations budget.
١٢ - وكما هو مذكور في الفقرة ٩ من الوثيقة A/48/690، أوصى اﻷمين العام في تقريره الى مجلس اﻷمن المؤرخ ٢٥ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٣ (S/25470) بدمج جميع أنشطة قوة اﻷمم المتحدة للحماية في ميزانية اﻷمم المتحدة اعتبارا من ١ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩٣.

In his report to the Security Council of 18 June 1990 (S/21360), the then Secretary-General proposed a Settlement Plan, which provided for a cease-fire and the beginning of the transitional period, a reduction in the number of Moroccan troops in the Territory and confinement of the combatants of both sides to locations designated by the Special Representative of the Secretary-General.
وكان اﻷمين العام السابق قد اقترح في تقريره الى مجلس اﻷمن المؤرخ ١٨ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٠ (S/21360) خطة للتسوية، تنص على وقف ﻹطلاق النار وبدء فترة انتقالية وخفض لعدد القوات المغربية في اﻹقليم واقتصار وجود المقاتلين من الجانبين على المواقع التي يحددها الممثل الخاص لﻷمين العام.

7. The following two months were characterized by a significant escalation in military activity and tension, as described in my report to the Security Council of 22 March 1995 (S/1995/222), in which, inter alia, I recommended the restructuring of UNPROFOR.
٧ - واتسم الشهران التاليان بتصاعد ملحوظ في النشاط العسكري وفي حدة التوتر، حسبما بينت في تقريري الى مجلس اﻷمن المؤرخ ٢٢ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٥ )S/1995/222(، الذي أوصيت فيه، في جملة أمور، بإعادة تشكيل قوة اﻷمم المتحدة للحماية.

In my report to the Security Council of 21 September 1993 (S/26480), I indicated in paragraph 26 that I would submit, as soon as possible, an addendum to the report including a statement of the financial implications for the United Nations Mission in Haiti.
