5. By its resolution 54/263 of 25 May 2000 (annex I), the General Assembly adopted the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict.
5 - وبقرارها 54/263 المؤرخ 25 أيار/مايو 2000 (المرفق الأول)، اعتمدت الجمعية العامة البروتوكول الاختياري لاتفاقية حقوق الطفل بشأن انخراط الأطفال في الصراع المسلح.

(b) To ensure that the involvement of children above age 15 in labour is based on genuine free choice and subject to adequate safeguards in accordance with the Convention and international standards;

وتوصي أيضاً بأن تتخذ الدولة الطرف تدابير محددة الهدف لضمان عدم انخراط الأطفال المحرومين من الرعاية الوالدية وأطفال الأسر المحرومة والمهمشة في عمل الأطفال.
