6. In accordance with Economic and Social Council decision 1993/207, the Commission is composed of 53 members elected from among the States Members of the United Nations and members of the specialized agencies.
٦ - وفقا لمقرر المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي ١٩٩٣/٢٠٧، تتألف اللجنة من ٥٣ عضوا ينتخبون من بين الدول اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷعضاء في الوكالات المتخصصة.

Accordingly, in a letter dated 15 March 1993, the Chairman of the Committee so informed the Secretary-General, who subsequently transmitted the letter, on 26 March 1993, to the States Members of the United Nations and members of the specialized agencies, and to intergovernmental organizations.
ووفقا لهذا أبلغ رئيس اللجنة اﻷمين العام بذلك في رسالة مؤرخة ١٥ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٣، فأحال اﻷمين العام الرسالة في تاريخ لاحق، هو ٢٦ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٣، إلى الدول اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷعضاء في الوكالات المتخصصة، وإلى المنظمات الحكومية الدولية.

Expressing its satisfaction that the Conference and its Preparatory Committee provided for the participation of all States Members of the United Nations and members of its specialized agencies at a high level, and also provided for the participation of observers, intergovernmental organizations and non-governmental organizations from all regions of the world,
وإذ تعرب عن ارتياحها ﻷن المؤتمر ولجنته التحضيرية كفلا مشاركة جميع الدول اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷعضاء في وكالاتها المتخصصة على مستوى رفيع كما كفلا مشاركة المراقبين والمنظمات الحكومية الدولية والمنظمات غير الحكومية من جميع مناطق العالم،

In its resolution 51/202, the Assembly set out the organizational process of the special session, and in its resolution 52/25, it established a Preparatory Committee, open to the participation of all States Members of the United Nations and members of the specialized agencies, with the participation of observers in accordance with the established practice of the Assembly.
٢ - ووصفت الجمعية العامة في قرارها ٥١/٢٠٢ العملية التنظيمية للدورة الاستثنائية، وأنشأت في قرارها ٥٢/٢٥ لجنة تحضيرية مفتوحة لمشاركة جميع الدول اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷعضاء في الوكالات المتخصصة، بمشاركة مراقبين وفقا للممارسات المعمول بها في الجمعية العامة.

2. In accordance with paragraph 9 of General Assembly resolution 51/210, the Ad Hoc Committee was open to all States Members of the United Nations or members of the specialized agencies or of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

51. Decides to establish a Preparatory Committee open to the participation of all States Members of the United Nations and members of the specialized agencies, with the participation of observers in accordance with the established practice of the General Assembly, and that the Preparatory Committee will hold an organizational session of four days' duration, from 19 to 22 May 1998;
٥١ - تقرر أن تنشئ لجنة تحضيرية مفتوحة لمشاركة جميع الدول اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷعضاء في الوكالات المتخصصة، وبمشاركة مراقبين وفقا للممارسات المعمول بها في الجمعية العامة؛ وأن تعقد اللجنة التحضيرية دورة تنظيمية لمدة أربعة أيام في الفترة من ١٩ إلى ٢٢ أيار/ مايو ١٩٩٨؛

" Members of the Commission on Population and Development should be elected by the Economic and Social Council from among the States Members of the United Nations and members of the specialized agencies before the opening of the twenty-ninth session of the Commission. "
" ينبغي أن ينتخب المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي أعضاء لجنة السكان والتنمية من بين الدول اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷعضاء في الوكالات المتخصصة قبل افتتاح الدورة التاسعة والعشرين للجنة " .

In the same decision, the Council decided that the members of the Commission should be elected by the Council from among the States Members of the United Nations and members of the specialized agencies before the opening of the twenty-ninth session of the Commission. The new members are to be elected according to the following pattern:
٢ - وفي ذلك القرار نفسه، قرر المجلس أن يقوم بانتخاب أعضاء اللجنة من بين الدول اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷعضاء في الوكالات المتخصصة قبل افتتاح الدورة التاسعة والعشرين للجنة، وأن يتم انتخاب اﻷعضاء الجدد وفقا للنمط التالي:

By its resolution 52/25, the Assembly decided to establish a Preparatory Committee open to the participation of all States Members of the United Nations and members of the specialized agencies, with the participation of observers in accordance with the established practice of the Assembly; it also decided that the Committee would hold an organizational session in May 1998.
٣ - وقررت الجمعية العامة في قرارها ٥٢/٢٥ إنشاء لجنة تحضيرية، مفتوحة لمشاركة جميع الدول اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷعضاء في الوكالات المتخصصة، وبمشاركة مراقبين وفقا للممارسات المعمول بها في الجمعية العامة، وقررت أيضا أن تعقد اللجنة دورة تنظيمية في أيار/ مايو ١٩٩٨.

30. Also recalls its resolution 52/25, in which it decided to establish a Preparatory Committee open to the participation of all States Members of the United Nations and members of the specialized agencies, with the participation of observers in accordance with the established practice of the General Assembly;
٣٠ - تشير أيضا إلى قرارها ٥٢/٢٥ الذي قررت فيه إنشاء لجنة تحضيرية يفتح باب المشاركة فيها لجميع الدول اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷعضاء في الوكالات المتخصصة، ويشترك فيها المراقبون وفقا للممارسة المرعية في الجمعية العامة؛

6. Decides also that the Commission on Narcotic Drugs should act as the preparatory body for the special session of the General Assembly and that its deliberations should be open-ended, allowing for the full participation of all States Members of the United Nations and members of specialized agencies and observers, in accordance with established practice;
٦ - تقرر أيضا أن تعمل لجنة المخدرات باعتبارها الهيئة التحضيرية للدورة الاستثنائية للجمعية العامة وأن تكون مداولاتها مفتوحة من أجل السماح بالمشاركة الكاملة من جانب جميع الدول اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷعضاء في الوكالات المتخصصة والجهات التي لها مركز المراقب وذلك وفقا للممارسات المتبعة؛

Accordingly, in a letter dated 18 April 1994, the Chairman of the Committee informed the Secretary-General, who subsequently transmitted the letter, on 27 April 1994, to the States Members of the United Nations and members of the specialized agencies and to intergovernmental organizations.

80. At its resumed substantive session of 1995, the Council decided that the membership of the Commission should be increased from 27 to 47, and that members of the Commission should be elected by the Council from among the States Members of the United Nations and members of the specialized agencies before the opening of the twenty-ninth session of the Commission (decision 1995/320).
٨٠ - وقرر المجلس، في دورته الموضوعيه المستأنفة لعام ١٩٩٥، توسيع عضوية اللجنة من ٢٧ عضوا إلى ٤٧ عضوا وأن ينتخب المجلس أعضاء اللجنة من بين الدول اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷعضاء في الوكالات المتخصصة قبل افتتاح الدورة التاسعة والعشرين للجنة )المقرر ٩٥١٩/٣٢٠(.

In 1993, however, the General Assembly, in paragraph 5 of its resolution 47/227 of 8 April 1993, decided that the funding of training programmes held at the specific request of States Members of the United Nations and members of other United Nations system organs and specialized agencies should be arranged by the requesting parties.
إلا أن الجمعية العامة قررت، في عام ١٩٩٣، فــي الفقــرة ٥ مــن قرارهــا ٤٧/٢٢٧ المؤرخ ٨ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩٣ أن " تكلفة البرامج التدريبية التي تنفذ بطلب محدد من الدول اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷعضاء في سائر هيئات منظومة اﻷمم المتحــدة ووكالاتها المتخصصة ينبغي أن ترتبها اﻷطراف الطالبة لتلك البرامج " .
