وريثما تنتهي الاجراءات القانونية المناسبة فيما بين اﻷمانة العامة لﻷمم المتحدة وحكومة لبنان بهدف الوصول الى تفاهم مشترك بشأن جميع المسائل المتصلة بنقل اللجنة الى مقرها الدائم في بيروت، تم تمديد اﻹقامة المؤقتة للجنة في عمان لمدة سنة أخرى تنتهي في ٣١ آب/أغسطس ١٩٩٦.

361. At the end of June 1993, I met the Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq, Tariq Aziz; a fourth round of talks between the United Nations Secretariat and the Government of Iraq was then held at United Nations Headquarters from 7 to 15 July 1993.
١٦٣ - وقد التقيت بطارق عزيز نائب رئيس وزراء العراق، في نهاية حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٣، وتم عقد جولة رابعة من المحادثات بين اﻷمانة العامة لﻷمم المتحدة وحكومة العراق في مقر اﻷمم المتحدة في الفترة ٧ الى ١٥ تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٣.

Letter dated 20 May (S/1996/356) from the Secretary-General addressed to the President of the Security Council, transmitting the texts of a memorandum of understanding concluded on the same date between the United Nations Secretariat and the Government of Iraq on the implementation of Security Council resolution 986 (1995) and of a letter of the same date from the head of the delegation of Iraq to the Legal Counsel.
رسالة مؤرخة ٢٠ أيار/مايو (S/1996/356) موجهة من اﻷمين العام إلى رئيس مجلس اﻷمن، يحيل بها نص مذكرة تفاهم أبرمت في اليوم نفسه بين اﻷمانة العامة لﻷمم المتحدة وحكومة العراق بشأن تنفيذ قرار مجلس اﻷمن ٩٨٦ )١٩٩٥(، ونص رسالة مؤرخة في اليوم نفسه موجهة من رئيس وفد العراق إلى المستشار القانوني.

In my previous report, I noted that a considerable number of applications received under phases V and VI included payment clauses that were not in conformity with the procedures of the Security Council Committee, the memorandum of understanding between the United Nations Secretariat and the Government of Iraq (S/1996/356) and relevant Security Council resolutions.
١٩ - وفي تقريري السابق، أشرت إلى أن عددا كبيرا من الطلبات الواردة في إطار المرحلتين الخامسة والسادسة تضمنت شروطا متعلقة بالدفع مناقضة لﻹجراءات التي وضعتها لجنة مجلس اﻷمن، ومذكرة التفاهم بين اﻷمانة العامة لﻷمم المتحدة وحكومة العراق )S/1996/356( وقرارات مجلس اﻷمن ذات الصلة.

The implementation of the revised plan for telecommunications is governed by the relevant Security Council resolutions, 986 (1995) and 1210 (1998), and the memorandum of understanding concluded on 20 May 1996 between the United Nations Secretariat and the Government of Iraq (S/1996/356).
وتنفيذ الخطـــة المنقحة المتعلقة بقطــــاع الاتصالات ينظمه قـــرارا مجلس اﻷمن ٩٨٦ )١٩٩٥( و ١٢١٠ )١٩٩٨( ذوا الصلة، ومذكرة التفاهم المبرمة في ٢٠ أيار/ مايو ١٩٩٦ بين اﻷمانة العامة لﻷمم المتحدة وحكومة العراق )S/1996/356(.

The Memorandum of Understanding concluded on 20 May 1996 between the United Nations Secretariat and the Government of Iraq (S/1996/356) provides that the Government of Iraq shall prepare a distribution plan describing in detail the procedures to be followed by the competent authorities with a view to ensuring the equitable distribution of humanitarian supplies and submit the plan to the Secretary-General for approval.
وتنص مذكرة التفاهم التي أبرمت في ٢٠ أيار/ مايو ١٩٩٦ بين اﻷمانة العامة لﻷمم المتحدة وحكومة العراق (S/1996/356)، على أن تقوم حكومة العراق بإعداد خطة توزيع تصف بالتفصيل اﻹجراءات التي تتبعها السلطات العراقية المختصة فيما يتعلق بضمان التوزيع المنصف لﻹمدادات اﻹنسانية، وأن تقدم هذه الخطة إلى اﻷمين العام للموافقة عليها.
