He stated that 154 States had ratified the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and indicated that this was a clear testimony to the increasing commitment by the international community to the Convention.

٢- يطلب إلى اﻷمين التنفيذي أن يتقصى مع اﻷمم المتحدة امكانية تأمين الوصول غير المقيد إلى نصوص من وثائق اتفاقية اﻷمم المتحدة الاطارية بشأن تغير المناخ بجميع اللغات، التي تتيحها اﻷمم المتحدة في إطار نظامها لﻷقراص الضوئية على صفحة للاستعمال المقيد على شبكة " الويب " ؛

2. At its fifth session, the SBI agreed upon the input of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to the special session of the General Assembly as contained in document FCCC/SBI/1997/L.1/Add.1.
١٣- وافقت الهيئة الفرعية للتنفيذ في دورتها الخامسة على مساهمة اتفاقية اﻷمم المتحدة الاطارية بشأن تغير المناخ في الدورة الاستثنائية للجمعية العامة كما جاءت في الوثيقة FCCC/SBI/1997/L.1/Add.1.

At its 5th meeting, on 3 October, Mr. Michael Zammit Cutajar, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change made a statement.

51. To that end, it is hoped that the requests for support for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change that have been addressed to the General Assembly through this report will find a positive response.
