4- وتعلن المادة 12 من القانون أن المواطن الياباني الذي يولد في بلد أجنبي ويحصل على الجنسية الأجنبية بالميلاد يفقد جنسيته اليابانية بأثر رجعي اعتبارا من تاريخ الميلاد إلا إذا أبلغ رغبته في الاحتفاظ بالجنسية اليابانية عند التبليغ عن الميلاد.
