٥ - ترحب بالبيان الوارد في إطار البند ١٧ من جدول أعمال القرن ٢١)٢(، الذي اعتمده مؤتمر اﻷمم المتحدة للبيئة والتنمية، والذي ينص على أنه ينبغي على الدول المضطلعة بأنشطة بحث في أنتاركتيكا أن تواصل، وفقا لما هو منصوص عليه في المادة الثالثة من معاهدة أنتاركتيكا، ما يلي:
